Well to be honest there was nothing in the Starr report that had anything to do with national security while the Mueller report is entirely about national security.
One dealt mostely with the presidents affair with an intern. The other the presidents oh too cozy relationship with a foreign enemy. BIG FRIGGIN' DIFFERENCE.

We saw on SNL what the report will be if trump has his way.
Black pages where the only words not redacted are NO and COLLUSION.

That knife cuts both ways my dear.
So this redaction stuff is just a tool. Release what you want people to know but not what you dont want them to know about.
Like why the counsel could not exonerate the president of obstruction of justice.
Its a game to trump. Nothing but a game. And he cheats at it to boot.

The American people are not buying the exoneration claim you know...

For those who don't know, the Trump vs Nadler feuding goes way back...

President Donald Trump said Tuesday that while working as a real estate developer in New York City, Rep. Jerrold Nadler was a routine foe, as the president blasted Congressional Democrats over their latest demands.

[...]

Now we're going to start this process all over again? It's a disgrace," Trump said when asked about the House Judiciary Committee chairman by Fox News' John Roberts.

"Jerrold Nadler has been fighting me for half my life in Manhattan -- and I was very successful, thank you," Trump said with a smile.

Nadler is Captain Ahab. Trump is Moby Dick. We know how that turned out.

Even though William Barr, Bob Mueller, and Rod Rosenstein are working together in making the 400 page Special Counsel report ready for release to Congress and the Public, Jerry Nadler said tonight:

On Tuesday’s broadcast of CNN’s “Situation Room,” House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler (D-NY) stated that Attorney General William Barr is “an agent” of President Trump and “deserves no benefit of the doubt.”
More at: www.breitbart.com...

As expected, Attorney General Barr did NOT turn over the Mueller report by today's deadline, as Nadler demanded.

So tomorrow, Jerry Nadler is going to call a Judiciary committee vote on whether to subpoena the full Mueller Report and underlying documentation/evidence. (Millions of pages...along with wiretaps...and witness testimonies)

Nadler may delay subpoenas, so Barr can change his mind.

nypost.com...

Matthew Whitaker gave Nadler the middle-finger. Barr will give him both. Nadler has an over-inflated view of his new position as chairman of House Judiciary.

Yeah he is an idiot playing politics while at the same time demonstrating Democrats could care less about the law. He has tried to use the special prosecutor from Bill Clintons investigation, as precedent and justification for the subpoenas, while ignoring the fact the law in place at the time was unconstitutional. It is why the law was allowed to lapse.

Currently the actions and requirements of the SC are laid out in the DOJ policy and several federal laws. The AG is the deciding factor in what, if anything is released. The report belongs to the executive branch and not the legislative. An agency review is occurring to determine if sources and methods are present and if they need to be redacted. Secondly grand jury testimony is secret and only a judge can allow its release however they must meet the hurdle of a legitimate public need to do so.

The issue with that is DOJ policy prohibits the department from releasing information on a person who was under investigation but not charged with any crimes.

Congress can file all the bs subpoenas they want. Barr will refuse to comply and a judge will quash the subpoena since it violates federal law.

When Mueller didnt give Democrats what they wanted it threw them for a loop. A Republican correctly pointed out what the Dems are up to. They want the report to justify impeachment and nothing more.

* - 28 CFR Part 600 - GENERAL POWERS OF SPECIAL COUNSEL
* - 28 CFR § 600.9 - Notification and reports by the Attorney General.

600.9 Notification and reports by the Attorney General.

(a) The Attorney General will notify the Chairman and Ranking Minority Member of the Judiciary Committees of each House of Congress, with an explanation for each action -

(1) Upon appointing a Special Counsel;

(2) Upon removing any Special Counsel; and

(3) Upon conclusion of the Special Counsels investigation, including, to the extent consistent with applicable law, a description and explanation of instances (if any) in which the Attorney General concluded that a proposed action by a Special Counsel was so inappropriate or unwarranted under established Departmental practices that it should not be pursued.

(b) The notification requirement in paragraph (a)(1) of this section may be tolled by the Attorney General upon a finding that legitimate investigative or privacy concerns require confidentiality. At such time as confidentiality is no longer needed, the notification will be provided.

(c) The Attorney General may determine that public release of these reports would be in the public interest, to the extent that release would comply with applicable legal restrictions. All other releases of information by any Department of Justice employee, including the Special Counsel and staff, concerning matters handled by Special Counsels shall be governed by the generally applicable Departmental guidelines concerning public comment with respect to any criminal investigation, and relevant law.

The highlighted section also precludes Mueller from testifying before Congress, even if a subpoena is issued.

* - Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure - Rule 6. The Grand Jury
Absent a court ruling, a subpoena by Congress cannot trump federal law in this regard - IE the subpoena will be worthless given what it is demanding. Contrary to popular belief a subpoena must be made via applicable laws. Congress cant just issue subpoenas to go fishing for something. Much like what Democrats are trying to do here.

The argument Dems are making is the report acknowledges collusion but not enough to sustain a criminal indictment. An interesting view since the report has not been released yet.

Either or Dems are still trying to effect a coup and cant seem to get over the fact Clinton lost because she was a shi**y candidate and they are abusing their authority and oath of office to do so.

On a somewhat related topic Manaforts lawyers filed a motion to reconsider his lying while under a plea deal. Apparently the SC included a memo in its report that directly contradicts what the SC told the judge about Manafort lying. Because this information was withheld from the defense the motion to reconsider is centered on a Brady violation (The prosecutor is required to turn over all exculpatory evidence to the defense - something they failed to do in this case. Exculpatory evidence is evidence that favors the defendant).

Like Hillary, they were "in denial" for more than two years.

The larger media outlets, and Democrats in Congress, are still suffering from extreme psychosis, due to Trump winning and his successes as U.S. President.

The general consensus is that Mueller prepared a report that was suitable for public consumption and That didnt jive with the exoneration and trump did nothing story that the admin wants you all to swallow.

NOW Muellers team is willing to make some noise that they were not allowed to make during the investigation.

it appears nothing more than your opinion

that is a laff riot

P.S.
Trump wasn't charged.
Trump won't be charged.
The dems can bring impeachment.
The dems don't have the numbers to make that a reality.
So again you lose.
But, what is bad for you is actually good for the country, don't forget that.

Whom ever sold you that line of left wing Democrat bull #, you should stop listening to them. Nothing in the prosecutor report was geared towards public release. The report has to be checked by various agencies for sources and methods. It also has to be reviewed by Mueller to determine whats grand jury testimony and if the release of that testimony serves the publics interest. Even if its decided it is, it is still up to a federal judge to make the determination to unseal the info.

Finally Congress is not entitled to the information. The report was done under DOJ regulations and belongs to the executive branch.

Contrary to what Democrats think they must have a valid legal reason to issue a subpoena. They cant use subpoena authority to go on a fishing expedition. We are seeing this with the number of agencies and financial institutions refusing to comply with demands for Trumps tax information.

28 CFR 600 specifically gives the AG the authority to decide what, if anything, is to be released. Barr already said he deems it in the public's intrest for the report info to be released. He also said the various agencies are reviewing the material and Mueller is reviewing it for grand jury info.

Democrats are desperate which is why they changed their story to collusion over to just because Mueller did not find collusion evidence to charge him he did find evidence of collusion. The ironic part in that is how does the Democrats know this? They are either lying or they are illegally being given info from the SC team.

There was no collusion.
There was no obstruction.

Democrats assumed Mueller would give them what they wanted. Why do you think Democrats spent years trying to pass legislation to protect Mueller? Now that his report is done and no collusion or obstruction occurred Dems all of a sudden dont trust Mueller and accuse him of covering things up. You guys pulled the same bull# with Comey.

The coup was exposed.
People will be going to prison.
Your gods in the Democratic party and liberal left wing media lied to you.

Its time for you to accept facts or stfu.

Speaking of which...imagine how Nadler is feeling today. The IRS has declined Dems request for Trump's tax returns. Fewer than 1/3rd of the 81 Trump associates have responded to Nadler's request for documents. And...

Democrats have to be feeling really depressed and betrayed this evening. They were screaming... "Protect Mueller!"..."Protect Rosenstein!" from Trump, up until February.

"Savior" Mueller has caused the indictment of Obama's W.H. Attorney earlier today, and "Savior" Rosenstein is praising AG Barr, for his handling of redactions in the soon to be released, 400 page Mueller Report.

Attorney General William Barr is “being as forthcoming as he can” about special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia report, said Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein.

Although Barr provided a four-page summary of the report and said that he would release a redacted version this month, Democrats want Mueller's full report.

“He’s being as forthcoming as he can, and so this notion that he’s trying to mislead people, I think is just completely bizarre,” Rosenstein said, according to the Wall Street Journal.

To noone's surprise, this IMPORTANT fact was removed from News/Opinion articles, and TV News.. ASAP after the A.G. said it. His statement didn't "fit" with the MSM and Democrat's plan to attack Attorney General Barr over "his" Mueller report redactions...

Barr said that Mueller "is assisting us in this process" of redacting certain material from the report.
March 29, 2019 - www.cnbc.com...

After screaming "Protect Rosenstein from Trump!" for almost a year, Democrats and MSM are not happy that Rod Rosenstein, the man who gave birth to the Mueller Investigation, also took part in the redactions.

FAKE NEWS (aka "traitors") have tried their best to give the impression that William Barr is 100% responsible for choosing what information in Mueller's report remains hidden. That simply isn't true...not at all.
