With countless schools, towns, counties, not to mention being a common surname for black Americans, it would require a lot of time and money to rid the country of every trace. Don’t forget Mount Rushmore, that itself could take years.

But what about weezie on the Jefferson, weren't they moving on up to the east side? They finally got a piece of the pie? Now these crazy dems/progressives/sjws/etc plus blm, want to take away their pie?

Cheers - Dave

I wasn't attacking you, or anyone. I was just using this as a real world example. (Though I get that you knew that already, I stated it incase certain people pop in to get wordy about my statement)

I totally agree with how selectively nonsensical people have become over issues. Here in Washington State I actually hear a woman ranting off about how vaccines cause this and that, but also couldn't understand why her kid got the measles. She was criticizing people that come from third world countries as the problem. I kept thinking that in many of the countries she was mad at had the measles vaccines available to them they would be jumping to get their kids inoculated. Over here that's not the case.

Gore Vidal once said (this was back in the 1970's)
"American is the greatest place on Earth. Where else can you escape the authoritarian junta you were born in, and become an American and complain about this country without fearing appraisal"

As true today, as when is was first spoken.

If the "Matrix" taught me anything it's these rules:
there is no pie
forks bend easily
don't mix the red and blue pills
as long as you know these rules you're fine. George Jefferson knew them, poor weezie didn't. That's why George got jumped by that female agent outside his laundry mat. Most people didn't even know that "The Jeffersons" was all about the "Matrix", and now you know.

Your post has no logic. North America was never destroyed. I'll play though. Anyone of European descent that doesn't like America can go to Socialism paradises in Europe/Russia.

The "matrix" or reality construct really can't teach you anything you don't already know, but can't access. Life isn't much different outside the system, it's just outside the system maybe. You never know, simulations might be nested within simulations and somebody forgot to use RETS rather than a CALL after the last conditional JMP causing STACK overflow, corruption, recursion and an infinite loop in programming which resulted in this mess :-)

What about the Constitution? Wasn't it written by slavers and racists?

Hmmn...you know, maybe that's what ALL this crap really boils down to. It's racist therefore it must be destroyed and replaced. Scary thought.

Perfect example to support the theory that a college educations value may just be over hyped a tad.

From your link....

In his writings on American grievances justifying the Revolution, he attacked the British for sponsoring the slave trade to the colonies. In 1778, with Jefferson's leadership, slave importation was banned in Virginia, one of the first jurisdictions worldwide to do so. Jefferson was a lifelong advocate of ending the trade and as president led the effort to criminalize the international slave trade that passed Congress and he signed in 1807, shortly before Britain passed a similar law.

It's only a matter of time unless people confront these people.

It would be interesting to find out exactly which teachers at Hofstra University have been stirring up these impressionable young people (and exactly which people instigated the actual event).

Have been reading some quotes made by Jefferson and he seems like a pretty astute, switched on chap to me (would have probably made a good ATS member).

On banksters:

"I sincerely believe that banking establishments are more dangerous than standing armies, and that the principle of spending money to be paid by posterity, under the name of funding, is but swindling futurity on a large scale."

On corporate media:

"The man who reads nothing at all is better educated than the man who reads nothing but newspapers."

On organised religion:

"In every country and in every age, the priest has been hostile to liberty. He is always in alliance with the despot, abetting his abuses in return for protection to his own.”

What kind of logic is to go around white washing American history because some peoples feeling get hurt?

Here's another one, this time by George.

"The most effective way to destroy people is to deny and obliterate their own understanding of their history."

yeh very smart , dont destroy the past or we are doomed to forget it and hence repeat the same mistakes!

So yeh tear down those statues that show how terrible we are to each other and see how quickly we forget those atrocities

Well said

Of course you know that means you automatically support slavery, etc. according to dirty-dems. Nevermind the fact it was the democrat party that championed and fought for slavery, or that we - the party of Lincoln - the Republican party... abolished the vile and despicable stain of slavery. AKA REAL racism not this petty BS that passes for it today

REAL racism was democrat-championed slavery
-This was corrected by Republican Pres. Lincoln who sent countless Americans to war to fight for our fellow Citizens who were enslaved (among other issues of the times) by democrats

REAL racism was DEMOCRAT Gov. George Wallace standing in the schoolhouse doors blocking Black American students who just wanted to go to damn class
-This was corrected by sending paratroopers to escort these great young men and women who just wanted an education

Absolutely despicable that Dems have been allowed to bastardize this narrative for 50+ years. THEY are the party of racism, we are the party of abolishing institutionalized racism

They can say what they like , the moment we even drop the ball and forget the horrific # we have done to each other we are doomed !

Can you imagine if we just forgot the holocaust or the loss of Mao's millions, or the Russian Gulags

our planet is full of hate !

we cant add to that , we need to correct it !
Scotland was involved in the slave trade , we didnt have as many slaves in Scotland , but in the colonies many wealthy merchants made further fortunes from slavery !

Should Scotland just ignore that dark spot in our history , or should we acknowledge it lest we forget and somewhere in the future some rich corporation enslaves us all!

Really great post sapien82 I could not agree more. Such is the danger of historical revisionists, book burners and whitewashers. The minute we ignore history is when we start repeating all of these idiotic mistakes of the past

From the holocaust, to Mao and other dictators, USSR atrocities or slavery (US and other countries) those parts of our history are nothing to write home about. Like you said, if we let these things slip away what will prevent them from happening again

It is hard to imagine Scotland of today and slavery, but like you we too have that dark spot on our history. And of course we should acknowledge it and take concrete measures to ensure it can never happen again. One such way, IMO, is through a long historical memory. But I also support more direct steps, in our country for instance Citizens have the right to own firearms and defend themselves from such aggression. Any group trying to bring back slavery today would find themselves in a very different position, not only fighting those they seek to enslave but also those who support liberty and the Constitution and would themselves take up arms in defense of what was Right

...a really great reminder

this is the thing as well , where we no longer tell the stories to our kids or tell them about the horrors , when we have no statutes to remind us !
When they burn the books about it , when they ban the language we once used to discuss and debate the horrors of humanity

when they have taken our freedom to speak about our ills and our problems
we wont have any reference , nothing to anchor ourselves to our morals and what is just and right!

all we have left then is our own voices , and they will eventually be silenced , because you would be branded a nutjob
for speaking about it !

Keep the horror, maybe that's what the ancients were doing , preserving sites of great disaster so we wouldn't forget !

Humanity needs to speak about our darkness and the way we treat each other , we need to remember our cruelty our inhumane acts of barbarism and egoic violence !

and we cant call ourselves animals as animals arent as artistically cruel to one another !
they dont invent weapons of mass destruction or create ever more horrific ways to kill or maim each other !
or create ways to extort , belittle , demean , defraud , harass , oppress , each other !

WHAT HAVE WE BECOME !

its good that I laugh hahahahah , otherwise you would cry !
