Good we shouldn't give aid to countries who's armys are marching on us.

WHAT single nation do you think would be the biggest target anywhere in the world? Maybe the biggest economy whom many view unfavorably (for a multitude of reasons justified or otherwise)? America needs the defense budget to be what it is. Btw how many other nations benefit from our military again?

I would add up all the money sent to all other countries. Divide it by the number of tax payers and then proceed with a plan that would state every penny not spent on other countries would be sent back to tax payers.

Bet we would get a pretty good accounting.

And I would also make giving money to politicians illegal.

Great idea, that way they could see and get used to what they're trying to turn America into.

Yeah, that strategy has worked really well all over the world:

If there is a country where the people suffer enough to start leaving their motherland, one strategy is to stop giving that country money to better itself.

I do not understand how that would stop a single person from leaving their country, but I am not Trump or can read his mind, obviously.

Another strategy might be to help that country to better the situation for its people, so they stop leaving. But that costs usually money. Which some people do not seem to want so spend on other people lives situations. Thats okay, I am sure that there are verses in the bible about this, and about stopping caring about other people.

Are isolationists not capable to think beyond the first step? "Hey, stop spending money outside my country, that will solve the immigration crisis!"?

Can someone even explain the next step besides "My country now uses more of my (still too high) taxes on ... things. But things in my country, which is better than before! And those illegals should just stop coming!" The world does not work that way.

I think isolationists believe people and nations should take care of themselves and not rely on others.

That might have been possible at one point in history. I do believe without the aid of a massive kill off of humans whether by natural disasters, war or disease, the world is inevitably headed towards some sort of global republic with countries existing as states do.

The influx of global refugees is going to triple in the future with Africa and India's population skyrocketing I see wave after wave of immigrants fleeing to 1st world countries. Now if we could have some sort of trade off we could have western entrepreneurs and investors moving to 3rd world countries to help them join the 1st world.

I wouldn't mind some beach front property in an exotic locale with a lower cost of living

And by allowing them to come here, we will be reducing our standard of living. What possible reason could anyone give us to do that?

I support lining armed troops and/or citizens on our borders and repelling them by whatever means necessary. No one has a right to violate our sovereignty.

You should know that like Israel...US nuclear doctrine calls for the use of nuclear weapons in the event the sovereignty/existence of the United States is threatened by a foreign power. I support this policy.

I want coffee. I want chocolate. I want a lot of things that are not naturally found in my home nation.

A lot of poor nations have much to offer and I agree with what you are saying.

These so called lesser nations just need to buckle down and get organized. On the flip side though, richer nations need stronger investigations and punishment for exploiting and causing harm to other nations. That's a tough one.

I dont consider "sweat-shops" exploitation and harm, those are a fair trade and a good kickstart. But I think we all know that there is some evil sh!t that goes on for precious resources.
