Yeah, well. Hawaii has the highest per capita homeless rate in the country (the weather is really nice, for the most part). A lot of them are mental, some of them are criminals, a lot come from elsewhere.

Should I move?

If I lived there, I wouldn't. The island life style seems to create a more favorable climate then here. Seattle would disappoint someone like you that seems to like reason, on the other hand you can be you there on the island without getting into a tiff with others about it.

Of course I could be very wrong since I have only been there as a vacationer. As far as I know the whole place could be "lord of the Flies" like to people that live there. Now where's Piggy?

I've been to Seattle. Nice place. Except for the weather.

It's not. It is, however, very expensive.

Wait isn't this the city that implemented the 15/hr minimum wage? Would that have anything to do with this?

A bit scary really. These people will move from one city to the next, infecting and destroying all they touch. You're like a virus, Mr Anderson.....

Well Socialist Alternative does claim to have people in 50 US cities and 32 countries world wide. So Trotskyism does seem to be virus like: spreading it's commie crap and rotting democracy where ever it goes.

And these progressive jerks that keep ruining city after city migrate from california , to Portland Oregon, then to Seattle, and now they are trying to take over Boise Idaho......

We love our town, we love what our state has built, but their progressive bullcrap is already causing issues here.

The homelessness has boomed, the housing prices have SKYROCKETED, the meth problems have grown by leaps and bounds......

And the activists are always outside the statehouse, holding signs protesting the most idiotic of things.

Its a virus, and a virus is always looking for a healthy body to infect....

Wait till the human trafficking issues start popping up there. It's all part of the package deal with the these Trotskyists when they feed guilty pleasures to their own.

Drove through Seattle a couple months ago, and there were homeless camps right along side the express way freeway on Interstate 5, and people had clothes and gear draped over the guardrail next to the left lane right near the Mercer street area, city center.
It will soon be like San Francisco.

Were already dealing with that here, I work with two of the newly built safe houses for victims of sex trafficking.....

Were starting to get spill over, and its moving through here more........the marjority of the children that have been victims that I have worked with so far have come from across the border.......and guess where they used as routes?

Sanctuary Cities.......as it made it safer for them to move around without having to worry about having eyes on them......

"Sanctuary Cities" for everyone but Americans. We had a house raided over here not long ago, and what do you know some of the girls that got busted in Florida with Mr. Kraft came into the country through that house. We also have a Chinese Birthing house, and shall I say "European Goods" house.

***WARNING VENT BELOW***

I'm sorry but if it's 3 in morning and teenagers are being escorted in and out of a house, somethings wrong. What pisses me off is that as soon as it's reported I'm told that pictures and video won't count in court since they were taken without consent. Now how in the hell am I suppose to get consent from a human trafficker? There's a hotline that we can call for this stuff though, but I haven't seen the state do anything about it. The local news has done reports on it every now and then but still the state does nothing. I know for a fact that the "European Goods" home owner has maxed out contributions to Jay Inslee, and I've heard from a few "in the know" that the home owner has also maxed out contributions to Senator Murray and the DNC, but I guess that's neither here nor there. What I do know is not much gets done about these houses. and after a string of prostitute shops got shut down in Seattle, a lot more people have been coming around.

***END OF VENT***

But hey we're a "Welcoming State" so if you can't do crime in your city or country, then come on down to Seattle, The Trotskyist will protect you. Bunch of crap.

Thats the reason i love hearing how backwards and dumb floridians are. Please note californians , chicagoans, Seattleite, and new yorkers you are way too sophisticated ,cultured , and intellectually superior to expose yourself to florida. Do yourself a favor and dont move to hickville florida, its as bad as they say.

That is absolutely heartbreaking, but honestly not a rare story........the things I have heard from the children and women both enrage and shatter me at the same time.......

We have failed not only these victims, but America as a whole........and whats worse as you have so eloquently pointed out, is that elected officials continue to do so with impunity.....

They dont care as long as the money and votes (power) roll in....and will continue to do so at the detriment of their cities........

They are nero with their fiddles.........

The local news stations here in Boise keep making Facebook posts about how Boise is in the top 5 for growing cities, and #1 for beautiful, and blah blah blah........

I keep telling them to shut the hell up, and posting how terrible it is here...........wtf are they thinking.......

Why doesn't the local government just give them a basic standard income for nothing?

Because it wouldn't solve the problem?

When the foot hills began to have a patchwork of houses, I left Boise Idaho behind. The same for Denver, CO.
Californians were always to blame. They arrived in droves and had no clear concept of local economies and values.

They always say they love their new locality compared to California...but then, the cycle of destruction begins. They simply create the chaos they left behind. Then, after 10 years, they often decide to move to the newest up and coming attraction. Sigh.

Last time I seen Boise was 5 years ago...it made me cry. Most would not believe how wonderful it was only 20 -25 years ago. Same with Denver, the foothills lost to homes.

I lived in Portland, OR and Seattle, WA in the late 1980s...it was quite depressing. The older locals were decrying the state of their cities and yes, the blame was placed on Californians.

I can not help but believe from my experience that rather than a virus, it is more like a parasite latching onto a host and sucking the life out of a city.
