Look, I don't support private companies drawing political lines in the sand... I think the Covington kids really opened up how deep that goes. But surely you see the hypocrisy in the Trump admin cutting up regulation (some of it I can support, others not so much) but the same party is screaming for regulation of how a private company operates.

But for a congressman to sue an individual for speech is more horrendous IMO.

That being said, Trump has used the media to his advantage, he got billions in free campaign coverage by baiting them to run stories on him non stop.

I strongly dislike the media... But I think the whole "negative press against Trump" is just a distraction to more pressing reasons why they are a toxic institution because it is comprised of 6~ major entities.

I'm not under the illusion that anyone will fight the biggest battle. Nor do I believe we the peeps win in the end.

But I dang sure like to see a battle or two won here and there. It seems likely that's all we will get.

I'm not sure you understand why Nunes is suing Twatter and a few others.

The 'few others' are private citizens. The government shouldn't be suing private citizens because of feelz.

You're goddamn right he is, he's an elected official and therefore the government.

That's silly and makes no sense. He's a citizen too.

You're another "holier than thou" imo and were expected.

Nunes wants to tell all he knows so badly. Particularly against his colleague across the aisle, Adam Schiff.

One method used to troll is to attempt to derail a thread by divergence. Redirect the conversation away from it's original intent.

Maybe you should check up on Supreme Court cases where they've ruled that elected officials have an extremely narrow ability to sue private citizens because they are, you know, the government.

Cool, at least you didn't call me a blind partisan wacko. That would have really sucked.

One ocngressmen standing up against 95% of all of our cultural institutions, including other politicians, the media, academia, the entertainment industry, and silicon valley, and being called a liar despite being correct.

I won't argue that those institutions don't have a bias politically. I also won't argue that it's damaging to society to have those who control (most) information to have an agenda. And yes, culturally it's just more hip if someone says "I'm part of the left" (whatever that means anymore).

But is that truly the most pressing issue for America? What about finalizing wars and fixing infrastructure? What about (however it has to be done) addressing the health care crisis?

The battle in the US is a cultural one for equity, not equality. Our government is purely fighting political battles, nothing more.

Devin Nunes is a hero!

Without his efforts we would not know that Susan Rice, Obama’s National Security
Adviser, spied on members of the Trump campaign before the election, The FISA
warrant that was based on Hillary Clinton's oppo research, Page and Strzok,
The FBI meeting in which they conspired against Trump and created the
insurance policy....and so much more!

Devin Nunes is a real man, he has earned much respect.
