Braved the pouring rain and had our lunch date at the beach !

Fogged up windows and crappy visibility did not put a damper on things !

They no longer have Linda restrained in case she gets up and has a fall. They have placed an infra red movement detector next to the bed instead.

Of course she was busted trying to get out the other side !

They moved the bed closer to the wall on one side ... lol !

Our Son and his GF came to visit today which was lovely,
I hope they will be able to spend more time with her going forward.

All in all ... a great weekend !

Onwards !

Great to hear Dave! She has a strong will to do what she wants to do. Haha!

It's wonderful that you and Linda got to spend time away from the hospital and that you had a lovely visit with your Son and his girlfriend.

On Friday, Linda's Occupational Therapist is driving her home to check the suitability of stairs etc.
If all is well Linda can have a night at home !

Fingers crossed ... 😊

That made me cry happy tears. Thank you for sharing.

This darn stupid screen thing doesn't "man up" to how I feel.

Just about to take Linda back to the rehab hospital after her spending two nights at home with me. She even cooked bacon and egg rolls for breakfast !

She doesn't want to go of course, but she understands this is part of the process.

Another week or two will see her moved to a share house for 2 - 3 weeks for more rehab as well as cooking etc. then hopefully she will then be seen as a regular outpatient.

I am pleased but exhausted ... lol.

I'm quite sure you had your hands full along with the joy. Man, that's great news, Timely. The needle seems to have settled decidedly North. A long way over those mountains, but looks like you're on the right path.

Very insightful mate !

There is still a journey involving new understanding and learning ahead for us, it is baby steps as we go.

All's well !

Linda is home again for the weekend. We have had some visitors, been shopping and done some cooking ( curried sausages, mashed potato and peas ).

Linda will go to a share accommodation house for some more intense re-hab during the the coming week or two where I can only visit between 5 and 9 pm.
This will be from Monday lunch to Friday lunch time for two to three weeks, then she will be seen as an outpatient.

Things seem to be coming along nicely !

What for breakfast ? 😁
