In my opinion civilians have absolutely NO need to own fully automatic, military style assault rifles with high capacity magazines.

It's not like I can walk into my local gun store and get one of those.

It's hard to have intelligent discourse with someone who is so unaware, that they dont know the difference between auto, and semi auto.

Bye bye, Bernie!

**waving**

Yep how can anyone figure just how many people will now do their utmost to insure he is never elected.... But if the truth were know all the democrats that I am aware of plus the DNC want to ban guns..

You can not create a socialist serfdom if the surfs can fight back in a meaningful way..

I can help:

Auto allows you to dispense freedom in a withering hail, semi-auto allows you to do so in a more controlled fashion. The high capacity clipazine allows you to have much more freedom to dispense without the cumbersome process of loading more freedom. The chainsaw bayonet attachment is not totally necessary but cool and handy if you need to freedom up some zombies. 'Murica, eff yeah.

This is what I don't understand about people on the left like the entire Democrat slate so far. They cry and cry about the constitution and how horrible Trump is for it, but he's not the one out there openly calling for a ban on firearms, Supreme Court packing with openly political justices to make sure things go "correctly," abolishing the EC, and other measures which are all really in open defiance of the plain, stated text of the COTUS. They'd require major amendments at the very least in order to accomplish; something these people have to know the country has no stomach for.

So when they cry and cry about why people won't vote for this stuff and call me a racist or other nasty names for it, I just don't understand it. No. It's that I *do* care about the constitution as written.

I may not like Trump, but he's not trying to remake this country from it's very foundations, not quite like these idiots want to.

Yes they hate Trump so much they want him to sign a law disarming them.

Yep and all this hullabaloo does is spike the gun sales anyway, remember the run on ammo and guns before Barry took office?

If your first two planks in the Democratic party platform are gun bans and third-trimester abortions you just lost 75-80% of the population. Makes you wonder? what the hell are they thinking?

I love it. They are handing President Trump a second term, on a silver platter.

I think they are just so disconnected with common Americans, that they think their echo chamber is reality.

Personally, I hope they never figure it out.

The only way at this point to ban guns, and disarm the public will be to decare total martial law and go house to house doing nazi germany style searches.
1000's of otherwise very law abiding gun owners will be killed, and 1000's of law enforcement officers will be killed in the process.
Very likely an uprising will ensue, 1776 2, the electric boogaloo will be in effect.

Do you democrats really want that?

The public shouldn't have assault weapons. That's pretty much all there is to it. What the hell are they (gun mfrs.)thinking selling them to the public in the first place? You can't justify that nonsense. Not with any amount of asinine mental gymnastics.

The amendment is outdated and does NOT apply to the kind of weapons around today. The amendment these idiots continually try to beat everyone over the head with, was referring to muskets not bloody AR 15's. Someone needs to gently explain this to all these gun happy Muppets . Don't get me wrong, I'm not anti gun, I have a couple of semi-auto handguns, which I'm not too happy about but I do quite enjoy shooting them for practice, very theraputic. But I kind of feel even that is overkill and at best a necessary evil in today's world. I sure as hell don't need some massive crazy rapid firing machine gun like the one Ripley has in Aliens to feel safe or to outsmart some animal with a brain the size of a watch battery.

These things are not toys and we should be taking them away from the infantile and sometimes mentally unstable or retarded adults that rabidly defend the sale of them with their deranged interpretation of the 2nd amendment twitching and flailing like a dying haddock behind them.

Enough is enough. Enough was bloody enough 6 years ago. Where's the action? where the # is it eh?

6 days it took NZ to act. 6 days.

My new favorite country. I want to live there.

# the NRA and all they stand for. Antiquated Jackassery. We need to outlaw these stupid weapons now. You want one? Join the army.

I think it's time to re-open all the lunatic asylums. This 'care in the community' isn't working. The criminally insane all have jobs in Washington DC and at Fox news.

An ar-15 is a glorified hunting rifle and not even a really good one for that.

Just make it part of the Green New Deal. They almost would have to do all that anyway in order to forcibly upgrade every building in the US. If that includes private homes, then they would have to take control of your property in order to go in and make those changes wouldn't they? I can't imagine everyone would want people just going in and doing who knows what all to their homes whenever they feel like it. So your property rights would have to be suspended.

Adding in a gun ban and search and confiscation would seem to be a natural extension of all that.

They are fun though, and make a fine self defense weapon.

so bernie has decided he really does not want to be president?
no way that platform leads to the white house.

Any one 16 or older (Federal law requires the age to be 18) and who can legally possess a firearm is allowed to carry openly or concealed in vermont. There is no distinction between resident or non-resident, both are allowed to carry without a permit in vermont. Perhaps he no longer wishes to represent the people of vermont either?

I don't see any of the dem candidates having a path to the white house, barring a complete economic collapse.

Their ideology is so far left of mainstream America, many opposed to Trump will just stay home. I don't think that is pure speculation either, as I have heard many of my associates state that.

Not all guns are stored in buildings.

Oh, mine are! Every single firearm I have ever had in over a half-century of buying firearms is right here in my one little gun rack. I just want to make that absolutely plain. I am just talking about some other people who might want to trick the nice government. I hear a lot of them are registered Democrats too. Maybe we should worry about them, because they're probably not going to turn all their guns in like I would if someone came to my door armed and demanding them.

These that are out now couldn't be to smooth the path for an actual centrist dem candidate to declare later?
They would make that person look sane by comparison?

I suppose it is possible, but even Biden (regardless of what you may think of him), who was considered a moderate, is being pulled past the point of no return.

I can tell you have never hunted feral pigs or you would not have said that.... The AR-15 is the weapon of choice for everyone I have ever known who had to get rid of the pigs destroying the farms and crops.. Many videos of a feral pig hunt at youtube

On another subject no fear if they ban first the ARs then of course the hand guns will be next so leave it to an enterprising German to come up with "The Tactical Repeating Crossbow !" youtu.be...

As cool as it is I would have hated to try and kill pigs with such a weapon.. Plus a bow and arrow or a cross bow is to slow to kill... This is a Coyote kill and if you look they are feasting on two cattle. Warning for all the big city apartment dwellers who think protecting your life, property, and livestock is wrong...don't watch the video.. youtu.be...

I used a night scope equipped AR-15 as all the hunting was done at night. Anything out to 125 yards was DOA.. Two 30 round mags and something to eat and drink was all I usually needed but I did carry two extra mags and a 1911 45 cal. just in case. The pig problem went away when a female Mountain lion moved up from Mexico. Within the first month of us finding her tracks the pigs left the area probably with her tagging along for she never killed any of the live stock in our area.. Mother nature has a way of answering our prayers sometimes, No ?
