Arab Spring erupts in Gaza as Palestinians are sick of Hamas

It seems that Palestinians are finally had enough of the terror regime held by Hamas in Gaza. During the last four days the Gazan population took to the streets protesting poor living conditions and government corruption.
Hamas responded by violently dispersing the protesters, raiding homes, attacking protesters with clubs and firing live ammunition.
Is this a start of a revolution in Gaza?

Hamas authorities had imposed a blanket ban on media coverage of the protests, held under the name of 'We Want to Live,' and the local press was eerily silent, despite graphic reports of violence trickling in through social media.

The Palestinian Non-Governmental Organizations Network, which includes more than 100 charities, said in a statement it “strongly condemned the campaign of arrests and aggression that the security forces launched in Jabaliya in northern Gaza against the right of dozens of citizens.”

The official Palestinian Authority (PA) news agency Wafa reported that Hamas gunmen attacked using live ammunition and clubs hundreds of residents throughout Gaza who were protesting in demand to improve their living conditions and cancel the fees and taxes levied on basic goods.

The Ramallah-based Independent Commission for Human Rights (ICHR) said Hamas forces attacked its staff in Gaza because they were doing their job of monitoring and reporting Hamas crackdown on the street protests.

Gaza-based journalist and MEE correspondent Hind Khoudary said protesters, including women, had been beaten, and that security forces raided homes around the site of the protest. She added that the sound of live ammunition was heard during the protests. Palestinian human rights group Al-Haq criticised the "grave assaults" of protesters, including three members of the Gaza-based rights group Independent Commission for Human Rights.

I think they want a home, with rights and stuff, for starters.

But yes, Hamas is probably not the best route. On the other hand, there are those who say they shall never have that, no matter what.

The population of Palestine has more than doubled since 1990, and continues to rise at a rate of 2.64% which means it will double again in about another 26 years.

They were already pretty poor back then. Now trying to support twice as many people with the same infrastructure. Is it really any surprise they're having trouble?

And it's the same lame strategy that has been applied forever and ever and ever...

Drown them in poverty, sanctions and sanctions, pressure and all that stuff until they get tired and do something about it. Then pretend it happened without any 'foreign' intervention at all. Let's go 'help them' survive the mess we got them into in the first place

Is not like we haven't seen this so so so many times in the past, step by step, by the letter and so on... *rolls eyes* and tons of people here still follow the script.
