Did nobody else laugh when he farted under the ice? And then his awkwardly dancing around Whales mating?

Now I love scuba diving, and it’s beautiful down there, but I’ll never understand the free diving stuff. Strap on a bottle and stay a while. And quit dancing around all weird.

As you noticed, it is well made, but real. From the info I found, this was the production team:

Julie Gautier, my wife. One more time she did an AMAZING work. Everything she is shooting with her camera become magic. Of course, she shot as usual all the images on breath hold!

Almo Film and his boss Morgan Le Faucheur for his support as co producer of the project during the post production process.

Ben Nardini, the multi task guy: Editing, Sound design and drone pilot!

Guillaume Ferran, the magician behind the original soundtrack

Arthur Paux, as usual, who made the beautiful color correction

Leonard Mercier added a great touch with the compositing and stabilization

Xavier Fulbert / Ideocast made the sound mix

Franck Seguin the fantastic photographer who made a book edited by Glenat

Glad you liked it.

I did not notice the flatulence. I'm not a diver but I believe free-diving is derived from traditional fishing techniques where scuba equipment would be either impractical or too expensive for the fishermen.

I only know that you won't find me down there. Way too scary. It makes me think of being in space. No breathable air, isolated and when things go wrong, possibly a hard place to escape from. I'm only in it for the visuals.

Just wonderful and it IS breathtaking. I would love to be able to do that. He has broken many records also which is quite impressive. The human/spirit and body are amazing when there is love and passion and dedication.

thanks L S D

Finally got a chance to view this breathtaking vid !

Could not help but think "Atlantis" !

The sheer size of this buried structure as witnessed by the intrepid diver ... begs for more investigation.

Most of our oceans remain enigmatic in our history.

We are at an age where more and more of enigmatic questions of our history are being discussed and investigated.

Nice one mate !

Wetsuits? We don't need no stinkin wetsuits. Or fins.

Thanks all for the posts and additional info folks.
Much appreciated. (I too wondered why he was wearing his underpants on the outside of his wet-suit.)

Out little blue marble is quite a beautiful place.
