He hired and empowered mostly deep state players from day one in his administration, his cabinet

He hired the people within in the deep state he thought most likely to change sides and aid the revolution.

Not just anyone has the balls to challenge the PTB.

Especially when being apart of it and knowing what they're capable of. What would you have done under the circumstance?

Fantastic point, that's exactly what it seems he's done ... much Scaramuccism and 'temporaries' who have been shown to be effective

Plus if you haven't figured by now that half of what he's doing are 'stings' where the corrupted convict themselves. This often requires the involvement of 'players' who have No Idea they are being used

Good call Doc

They will never believe you were ever a trump supporter. Because true trump supporters would never give up on him.
The whole fifth avenue thing is very very real. Sorry to say.

You should probably be the last one to make any accusations or comparisons about blind support or ideology

I weighed the options and made the best choice. If I'm wrong I admit it and move on. Thats the sane thing to do. As the OP demonstrated.

I like progress just not with higher taxes and socialism. Also their main weapon is identity politics and virtue signaling. Not progress and not interested

Frankly, I don't think ''he'' betrayed anyone. As I see it, the betrayal was on the part of those who voted for him, allowing themselves to hand over their trust because he was the only candidate using their rhetoric, most specifically his ''conspiracy rhetoric.

Once again can you name a betrayal on his part?

I said

You asked

Once again can you name a betrayal on his part?

So I will ask, why do you want me to name his betrayal when I have already said he has not betrayed anyone.

The way you wrote it doesn't make sense, how does the voter betray him?

It's the economy stupids!

Everything else is classic politics of personal destruction, dirty politics, lies and agendas funded by the elite.

The president is bad, you should hate him, and his supporters, because the left says so. Although he has otherwise done an excellent job!

I did not say the voters betrayed him. Here let's read what I wrote.

Frankly, I don't think ''he'' betrayed anyone. As I see it, the betrayal was on the part of those who voted for him, allowing themselves to hand over their trust because he was the only candidate using their rhetoric, most specifically his ''conspiracy rhetoric.

Throughout his life he has wined and dined and schmoozed anyone who he thought could benefit his own agenda. He has donated money to liberal candidates and causes and conservative candidates and causes. All to further his own drive for power. In 2016 he found the disgruntled conservative base and pulled them into his orbit.

The betrayal was on the part of those who voted for him The betrayal was of themselves, they betrayed their own standards of leadership, they betrayed their own ''caution'' about political leaders, they betrayed their own ability to see clearly , they betrayed their own conspiratorial insights into how people are manipulated and propagandized.

This was done because Trump, unlike other candidates, spoke to what they had already discovered about lying self serving politicos who paint reality to suit themselves. Because he pointed out all of these problems that other politicians never talk about, he gave the impression that he was one of them. No, make that us. I was very interested in him early on but recognized him for what he was, a con man and a liar.

Don't think our 2nd Amendment is safe either. Just wait. That will be on the chopping block, it's just a matter of time.

“I like taking the guns early, like in this crazy man’s case that just took place in Florida ... to go to court would have taken a long time,” Trump said at a meeting with lawmakers on school safety and gun violence.

“Take the guns first, go through due process second,” Trump said.

I've "officially" stopped supporting Trump and I know I'm not alone. As someone who voted for him and defended him for the past 2 years, my patience has been exhausted. His complicity with deep state destruction of this country is unacceptable and I won't be voting for him in 2020. I'll probably exercise my right not to vote by not voting at all.

When conservative voices have been censored from social media and he does NOTHING, he no longer deserves support. He told Brietbart that the way to handle such censorship is to "be good. Be very, very good." !!! Really? That's how we handle clear violations of law? He could easily begin anti-trust action against the guilty social media parties but won't. Instead, he chides those who have supported him with "just behave." That's not winning. That's losing.

Of course, we'll hear from those who have nothing but invectives against people like me but who really cares? "Oh you're a communist, a liberal, blah blah blah..." Those people have tiny IQs and can't seem to realize that Trump's strongest supporters have given up on "winning" with him in charge. We'll hear from those who claim "but, but, but the deep state! He's been fighting a coup for 2 years and can't get anything done." Don't even try that one. He hired and empowered mostly deep state players from day one in his administration, his cabinet. These people should have never had access to that much power and he promised that this would stop. Instead, he makes it worse.

Don't think our 2nd Amendment is safe either. Just wait. That will be on the chopping block, it's just a matter of time.

In fact, everything is on the chopping block. We can't trust that ANYTHING he promised, the real, substantial promises like the wall, will ever make it beyond the realm of fantasy.

It's best for all of us to stop looking in that direction for answers. He's betrayed us and we all need to realize that.

If not Trump, then who, Beano, Frito, or whatever he calls himself?

The problem I see with your statement is that Trump has never really changed since day one on the campaign trail, so people got what they voted for. The second problem is that Trump is actually trying to meet all his campaign promises, and I guess he hasn't been told that is not what a professional politician does. Its like he been working crossing them off one by one... Con man and liar is like if you say you will have the most transparent government in our history and you end up with one of the most secret, to the point of shutting down FOIA. I guess people just do not look at all the shady deals Obama administration did. Trump has done none of that...

So what is the con part?

The OP is certainly entitled to make that decision, but the fact that he/she makes this thread and doesn't even bother replying to anyone or make any attempt to rebut some of the well thought out responses, makes me suspect that the OP never really did support Trump and just another "hit and runner" attempting to deceive the public into thinking that Trump is losing supporters. I don't think the OP will be very successful in achieving this to be honest, the large majority of supporters are quite a bit more intelligent than that.
