All athletes have to sign a code of conduct policy that includes the possibility of random drug testing.
It also has verbiage about off campus behavior.

They agree to those terms or they dont play.

well if they signed they signed.

i dont know then

should be like Randal Pink and refuse to sign

Tell them it's a religious right.

If they disagree they are bigots and racists (actually yeah).

Discipline was much harsher decades ago. That resulted in a whole lot of positive repercussions for those who are now senior citizens.

You're right, I was over reacting.

It just astonishes me what kids get up to nowadays... Or at least what the are allowed to get away with.

I'm a big believer in old fashioned strong discipline... not physical, just strict in relation to pupils/students.

Thanks Singapore, I think we can figure this one out, without your input.

It didn't result in a whole lot of positive repercussions for all the useless, pointless, aimless, soulless people who were born between then and now. Those "senior citizens" were VERY fruitful and multiplied like rats and this mess we're looking at here today is the end result.

Very true.
Speeding is illegal.
A hit and run is illegal.

They don't get equal fines.

But shouldn't a girl with marajuana get at least equal punishment as a girl drinking?

This is a school, Schools have pet students, students that have extra consideration. It has been that way since I was a kid and I suspect that it will be that way with your great grandkids. Usually the kids of predominant kids in the local area get better treatment, and the people doing sports also get extra benefits. The librarian may even adopt a kid and stick up for them. I did not get special treatment in school but some others did. I considered those people a little entitled, but what the heck, it was their life, I was satisfied with my life and actually hated special treatment.

If you're talking high school and it was like mine, the sports had different coaches and they handled their teams differently.

So basketball was run by one coach who was highly political, played the parents, etc., all the "right" names started and the rest rode the bench regardless who was good and who wasn't.

And track was run by a guy who was interested in winning, so the best kids run in the spots best calculated to earn team points.

Discipline between the two would be totally different. You can guess how too.

Damn kids these days don't know how to not get caught.

kid that was caught with weed wasn't on school grounds. Should have nothing to do with school or the school teams she plays on.

The other kids were caught at school. School gets to do whatever they want now.

I hate schools!

Special treatment for the right people...

My daughters friend got busted for having weed.
Pulled over and searched by the cops produced a bag of weed...

She's not in any trouble like detention or anything because she wasn't caught at school.
She was suspended for 25% of the softball season.. Like 7 games...
This girl is a very good pitcher..

Flashback to volleyball season.
Three girls started the season on suspension.
Two got caught using a vape/jull in school and were penalized 25% of the season.
The other one was drunk at prom and was suspended for 50% of the season.
All of them are fair not great volleyball players.

Now my question.
Should a girl caught with a legal substance be suspended longer than a girl caught with an illegal substance?

I say the same punishment...
That sucks cuz it puts more innings pitched on my daughter but right is right..

Am I off base here?

I'm sorta not with the aspect of this rant?

Who cares about the dopey smoker?

The first half of this rant (Softball pitcher!) has got to do with the second half (volleyball players)

Regarding the girls vaping..maybe they fessed. Regarding the drunken idiot at the prom. Maybe there was a problem. This isn't disclosed in this rant.

Could be the drunk - "punishment fits the crime"

Not worthy of a rant. (pitcher? What The?)

Kind regards,
Bally
