All athletes have to sign a code of conduct policy that includes the possibility of random drug testing.
It also has verbiage about off campus behavior.
They agree to those terms or they dont play.

Discipline was much harsher decades ago. That resulted in a whole lot of positive repercussions for those who are now senior citizens.

Very true.
Speeding is illegal.
A hit and run is illegal.
They don't get equal fines.
But shouldn't a girl with marajuana get at least equal punishment as a girl drinking?

I hate schools!
Special treatment for the right people...
My daughters friend got busted for having weed.
Pulled over and searched by the cops produced a bag of weed...
She's not in any trouble like detention or anything because she wasn't caught at school.
She was suspended for 25% of the softball season.. Like 7 games...
This girl is a very good pitcher..
Flashback to volleyball season.
Three girls started the season on suspension.
Two got caught using a vape/jull in school and were penalized 25% of the season.
The other one was drunk at prom and was suspended for 50% of the season.
All of them are fair not great volleyball players.
Now my question.
Should a girl caught with a legal substance be suspended longer than a girl caught with an illegal substance?
I say the same punishment...
That sucks cuz it puts more innings pitched on my daughter but right is right..
Am I off base here?
