The way is see it what is going on at the moment is meant to lay the ground work for a second referendum to scare people into voting for remain.
The deal negotiated be the Government cant get through Parliament and nobody is willing to move forward with a no deal Brexit. So no just running down the clock either.
They also cant just ignore the referendum (if they would be willing to, the entire process up to this point would have been pointless) and a settlement acceptable to Parliament is not forthcoming either. The EU has made clear as much.
So all thats left is letting the people decide. But not on just leaving the EU mind you. This time it will be about leaving the EU without a deal.
And do you all seriously think they lose that vote again?

Oldest trick in the book. If you dont like the results, have another vote.
Machiavellianism at its best.

Well as they say, you pay your money you take your choice.

True. Polls are usually bollox, though.

The point is you would expect the Opposition to be well ahead given the useless May and the Tories being in such a mess.

Labour are in an equal mess. On several fronts.

Indeed. A plague on both their houses. Its like having a choice between Trump and Clinton. "None of the above" works for me.

Don't vote, or the Govt will get in.

Due up there some time in April to see some mates and do a bit of 'business'.

I may stop there.

I think 'None of the above' would win a landslide victory if on any ballot paper.

Agreed , none of the above is what we all know to be true!

I think now would be a great time to make an appeal for the people to unite against government
because they have repeatedly failed to honor the British public !

It's an interesting conundrum.

They (the MPs) have voted not to leave without a deal i.e. at the end of March. They have not got a deal. Ergo we won't leave.

The EU will give an extension, with a price. That's a good outcome for them. They are happy. One could almost believe they have worked for that outcome. Knowing fully well that a "backstop" that was unacceptable.

I don't know why people blame May. She's the only one who has come up with a plan. Corbyn and Labour have played politics. But regardless, we are where we are.

We'll end up with a soft Brexit. A flaccid relationship where the UK is enslaved to the EU. That's actually good for the EU. They want a soft Brexit because it gets rid of the UK, but keeps them in at the same time. I can almost visualise the oily orgasm Juncker is having at the moment. Why our MPs don't see this is beyond me... Have they all been promised a pay-off or something?

Brexit.

It's been like watching the band playing on the deck of the Titanic whilst the ship goes down.

Only somewhat less dignified.

So no soft Brexit, no hard Brexit, what's next? No Brexit?

How can you negotiate a deal when you take "no deal" off the table?

Democracy is a sham in the UK.

You know I actually think its our democracy is that is the problem, if we had some kind of dictator who would just say this is what we are doing and thats it then it would be much simpler.

It would be easier if those tasked with representing the voters actually did represent the voters. Instead they subvert the people's will.

A deal/plan that has been voted down twice both times by the

biggest majority ever....... a plan that would keep us as rule takers

and not makers!! SOME PLAN THAT
