Should probably add the people of Liverpool voted clearly in favour of Britain staying in the EU.

We voted out.
Another referendum will be out.
If the government doesn't comply it WILL burn.

Well with a no vote regarding a hard Brexit in the post tomorrow almost guaranteed.

And after that, a probable appeal from us to the EU for an extension whilst we do indeed organise another referendum.

Then we can indeed establish the current will of the people now that we know what we are getting ourselves in to, seems to be on the horizon.

The EU is #ed without us.
Let the cards fall. We can survive alone, the EU didn't want us back in the day.
I'm old enough to remember.

The UK supplies just under half of the food consumed in the nation.

The leading foreign supplier of food consumed in the UK were countries from the EU around 30%.

53% of our imports into the UK came from other countries in the EU in 2017.

In 2017, the rest of the EU sold about £67 billion more to us in goods and services than we sold to them.

If your old enough to remember before we were part of the E.U, then you are old enough to remember a significantly smaller population.

We can't feed our people without an alternative trade deal that don't exist yet.

Truth is we are #ed without each other.

Hard Brexit is crazy in the extreme.

It's going to hurt for atleast 2 years. No worse than the austerity measures we are suffering anyway.
We have enough land/produce. Housing/poverty will get better when we stop the foreign siege.
The minimum wage killed our buying power, lack of foreign workers will ease that.

If we don't go all in we may as well raise our arse's and take it like a man because it won't be any better if we fold.

"It's going to hurt for atleast 2 years. No worse than the austerity measures we are suffering anyway."

Aye right more like 10-20 years more austerity, quite possibly a recession, more homeless in massive numbers, and dead disabled, poor, and mentally infirm, members of our communities in the 1000s.

"We have enough land/produce. Housing/poverty will get better when we stop the foreign siege."

I hope you like Chlorinated chicken and a return to ration books, christ you canny be that old surly?

"The minimum wage killed our buying power, lack of foreign workers will ease that."

Be lucky to retain our Human rights nevermind minimum wage after hard Brexit.

"If we don't go all in we may as well raise our arse's and take it like a man because it won't be any better if we fold."

We have been doing that long before the EU ever existed, after all we exist under Monarchic rule for all intents and purpose, hence the existence of the House of Lords.

Hard Brexit will sink this nation for the foreseeable future, and the only people who will profit from such are Tory scum with offshore bank accounts and/or monies in tax havens able to ride out the socioeconomic chaos from a distance.

That's what they want you to think.
The banking systems rely on the UK to filter money.
The investment will be massive just to prop up their system.

Imagine if you couldn't own housing in the UK unless you live here.
Imagine if then you restrict that to having 3 properties to residents.
Imagine how many houses would become available.
Imagine housing being affordable to the average worker again rather than rich slum landlords.
Imagine if we didn't have to feed and house foreign labour.
Imagine if our kids could earn real money and afford one of those houses.
Imagine all those people.........

"Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion, too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace
You, you may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you will join us
And the world will be as one
Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man"

How about that instead.

It is through that's the thing.

It does not need to be the way it is.

All this manufactured austerity is nothing more than bull crap of the first order, and to a certain extent responsible for the likes of Brexit.

The P.C brigade #ed this country.
I've seen the E.U collapsing first hand. Greece, Spain, Italy and France + Germany on the brink.
The UK and Germany have been propping it up with matchsticks for the last 5 years.
The Euro was the worst thing to happen to Europe.
It's DEAD... Insert Monty Python sketch.

There's nothing left to do than let it die with dignity, all the CPR in the world won't stop it happening and we don't need to be in attendance because we've said our goodbyes.

Are you in the forces?

If so, i hope they gave you a council house when you returned from servicing the bankers?

Its more than most get, especially if they are lucky enough to retain all their body parts.

This springs to mind.

It may be an EU/UK issue.

But that's not what you said.

You claimed that "....the Northern Irish border has been completely open for 20+ years thanks to the EU, as Ireland and the UK both are part of the EU."

That is incorrect and typical of the EU to claim responsibility for something it had absolutely nothing to do with.
It had everything to do with the Irish people from both sides of 'the border', ex-paramilitaries from both sides and many British and Irish politicians.
The EU played no part in the negotiations or the upkeep of the peace process.

That it uses a potential end of the peace process as a negotiating weapon speaks volumes about the morality and attitude of the EU.
It's shameful that they are prepared to jeopardise that hard earned peace and thus the safety and security of millions just on one of its so called 'principles'.
