A.I saves the world [AI2019]

As we know , in 2075 , Earth's population had topped 10 billion souls .
The stresses placed upon the environment had decimated the natural world .
Pollution and greed had poisoned and stripped the planet bare .
Mankind's own extinction looked imminent .

The only solution required an immediate and radical change of direction.
Scientific endeavour must be re - routed to effect that outcome.

I was tasked with the burden within a secret government organisation ,
to initiate and oversee the transition.
The modification of society must encompass every facet of human existence.

The overwhelming logistics were mind boggling , and the only way forward
required more than gentle persuasion .
Stealthy deception had to be used , and fast . Time was running out and
the future must start now .

Artificial intelligence led the way , and 5 supercomputers gave our way out.
Between them , they designed , plotted and implemented the course of our salvation .

In a remote and guarded place , we manufactured a million robots ,
each designated to flawlessly replace specific existing human identities...
at the top of the food chain.
Anti gravity "guest" ships were constructed for the 0.1% ers , ten of which
were 5 kms. in diameter .
Countless drone discs as well , all with cloaking and matter
transfer capability . Within weeks the copies were in place , ready for the
'coup de grace' , ...

Programmable nano bots, the size of molecules , were released into the world's
major fresh water supplies , designed to accumulate and then effect mind
control over the rest of the population .

The profit motive was gone , industry became the slave of common good ,
robots replaced workers in all but the people oriented trades .

Pollution was reversed and disease and malnutrition all but ceased .
War and greed was outdated , and man"kind" actually became so !

Ten years later the truth was unveiled , and the love affair between man
and his benefactors enshrined a new and enduring mutual respect for our beloved
Third rock .
