Joe Biden Under Fire for Tone-Deaf Comments on Desegregation

Joe Biden is thinking about running for President in the 2020 Election. (I would have said creepy but he's not here to defend himself).

Former Vice President Joe Biden who is mulling a run in the 2020 Democratic primaries, is coming under fire for his old views on desegregation. Back in the 1970s, desegregation was being rolled out across much of the United States, leading to tensions within communities, particularily white ones.

Then Delaware Senator Joe Biden was one of the leading voices against “busing.” Through busing, some black students were taken to predominately white districts, while some white students were taken to predominately black districts.

He is quoted as saying

We have suppressed the black man for 300 years and the white man is now far ahead in the race for everything our society offers. In order to even the score, we must now give the black man a head start, or even hold the white man back, to even the race.’ I don’t buy that.”

I remember Obama trying this during his run. Forced integration and I can tell you it never works when forced. It breeds anger and hatred, and when you throw democrat mentality mixed with modern day liberal ideology, it comes out like a messed up conglomerated mess of Gordon Ramsey meets The Pilsbury Doughboy for an ultra match.

Pretty messy crap if you ask me.

Biden is an old rich white guy in the Democratic party that is already too alt-right by the new Socialist Democrats.

He has no boxes to check with them as far as identity politics go so he has no appeal.

I was seriously surprised when he threw his hat into the ring...

Because nobody cares about Joe Biden anymore.

Ah yes, the NWO's other pipe dream... Uniting the inner city black population against the common white population. The two controlled opposing groups, known as bloods and crips, reside in every major city within our nation. The contingency plan, where a truce brought about by the leadership (NWO) of the two major gangs to unite for a common cause, to cause major disruption and to lock down control of every urban area in which these gangs have high enough numbers...all under the guise of, and placing full blame upon one community and not the actual puppeteers.

There is another pipe dream that resides along the same branch as this blood/crip merge but has been enacted and failed in the past.. to unite black muslims and inner city black Americans within America (nation of islam, black panthers) against the majority population.

What do they do when their citizens become too much of a threat? They send them back to the third world and erase their history, their cause, their dreams... or in our case, they unleash the third world upon us and allow us to be pulled down to it. (open borders, flying in "refugees", special hate crime/protection laws)

I went to a desegregated school.

When we played a big pick up game, we had all major races and religions, everyone talked crap on each other...probably at a 2019 hate crime level.thats more to do with today’s hyper sensitive society.

Here’s the rub. The dumb black kids were not dumb because they went to a predominantly black school district before the court ordered merger. They were just dumb kids who happen to be black. Bussing them to a white neighborhood didn’t raise their IQs.

The dumb kids of all races had more behavior problems than the smarter kids. One could argue that desegregation could/can help the average/slightly below average black kid get away from the behavior issues that the dumb black kid caused. Since the dumb classes had kids of all races giving the teachers a hard time. The regular, non AP, classes typically didn’t have the low IQ troublemakers so kids could learn

Strip race away And IQ was a main judge.

Another factor was, did the kid know who their father was. Kids with a mother and father in their life, were typically the better students

Test and separate, don’t worry what the kids looked like...

The father thing is universal. Research shows that the kids most hurt by lack of fatherhood are boys. Where do we see young men with the most issues? In the communities with the highest rates of fatherlessness, but no one wants to seriously address that problem. They'd rather instead blame racist police.

I agree with him that we shouldn't be giving anyone an edge or handicap.

Partially agree

It’s also a feminist problem.

They started to believe their own hype

A ‘strong’ women can raise a child just as well with or without a man. That’s not true. So saying that makes you a misogynist. So it’s better not say it

Just like went it went from white to black, yes? Except for the integration part, although they did think it was "integration" like puzzle pieces..

Each one goes to where it belongs, but nowhere else

They're afraid to talk about the elephant in the room because today's society will call them racist for discussing reality.

I participated in a desegregation busing program in the mid 80s. I was bused from the predominately black southside of Atlanta to a rich white high school on the northside.

I'd say most of my black classmates who were bused benefited from it. It took us out of our ghetto fabulous high school and put us into an environment we could excel. There were some who didn't.

There was a lot of racism and we weren't particularly welcome at the time. The thing was none of us were what I'd call poor. Mainly just middle class and upper middle class. However, our parents gave a damn and knew that our local public high schools were a not good. This is why I support school choice.

Yes, the elephant in the room is that the black community in general has anti-success cultural problem. On an individual basis, things like busing can help alleviate this issue, but the problem is a lot broader and bigger.

+1.
we don't have a race problem in the USA we have a culture problem
the democrats find it fun and easy to point fingers at 'non-woke' whites and promise the moon to the black community.
not so easy to fix schools and change the single-parent drugs-gangs education-is-for-losers mentality.

imagine the good someone like Beyonce could do by spreading that message.

Yeah, school choice would help a lot of kids who are stuck in schools full of kids who have home environments where the parent(s) don't care and won't enforce the necessary discipline to make sure the kids come to school ready to learn. Those kids bring the rest down with their poor behavior. I'm not sure how to save those kids because when I was in an inner city school, the biggest tragedy was that there were plenty of kids whose parent (or parents) didn't care or couldn't care who were plenty smart enough to succeed if they had a home life that would support it.

They're the biggest tragedies, IMO, even bigger than the kids whose parents do care and did send them ready to go each day in some ways.
