What is the deception?

The deception is to fool you into thinking whatever is happening in politics, and the narrative that is presented on TV, is important.

This is the world they create for you. That is your whole world - what you think about.

You see, they have the formula down pat. It is understood among the ruling class.

----

Like for example, they fooled you into thinking the immigration issue is one of the most important issues in the world, and that it should be at the forefront of our discussions. Really?! Is it one of the most important things?

There is the idea of the demagogue.

A demagogue:

..is a leader who gains popularity in a democracy by exploiting prejudice and ignorance among the common people, whipping up the passions of the crowd and shutting down reasoned deliberation.
- Wikipedia

Meanwhile they are raping you with property taxes and spending all our money on wars and military agendas, and putting us into debt, giving money to the private banks/bond holders, and private military establishments. Does anyone even talk about what we spend our money on? Do we even have any say or discussion on how the budget should be spent? Or whether we should go to war? Does anyone even think about it or discuss it? Is it up to us in any way at all? Do we have any power over that - the millions of people that make up the US? Is there any discussion heard anywhere regarding that? (cricket, cricket)

You do realize that the people who are calling for more taxes are not the same people stating that the illegal immigration issue important?

Are you saying that they are the same people, or are you saying something else?

It's all over for the elites Hollywood production. They no longer have control. If you don't know what I'm talking about you haven't been paying attention.

What's $65 billion and a few thousand deaths a year just because the border isn't secure? Increased taxes and debt, lower wages, fewer jobs, higher rents, 3rd world diseases and higher crime are hardly good reasons to do anything about it.

The nerve of Venezuela not accepting our generous aid! Barbarian socialists!
We'll get that Maduro!

I am saying that everyone is distracted from more important issues - like the most important one - that you are powerless - that we do not have a democracy or anything close to it.

Yes, it was the powerless masses that elected President Trump. Powerless enough to beat HRC, in an election that was rigged for her to win.

Got to give him cred though, he could shoot someone in the street and have followers.

Negative. With gov confidence at an all time low, he was ran as the savior and the gov run media was used to pull it off.

Anyone who has been paying attention should have known that we haven't had a real government since 1947. You are right though we aren't looking at the real issues anymore, the real threat (aka "The Issue) is the rise of Trotskyism (the WIKI) in the United States, and Globally to be honest about it.

It's not that people are powerless, but rather that people are told that they are powerless. There is a difference between those two statements. The People are told that can't fight city hall, but in reality the people control city hall. It's like that movie "A Bug's Life" it's just that there isn't a Flick to tell everyone that yet. I think the one thing that came out of the 2016 election cycle was that people had the power, but shortly after, those same people were told that they didn't have that power. Now we have a certain group of politicians trying to drive taxes on everyone and everything while saying that it will solve the worlds problems by doing so. When asked were that money collected will be spend, it's always going to a committee to figure that out. Trotskyism is what's this mess is all about, and to think anything differently is just pulling at strings.

I will add this though, if you don't think that this Trotskyist movement is behind all of this, then by all means provide some evidence?

Its all a gimmick.

There aren't really any sides.

In the end, it is the same people pulling the strings in the background. Real power does not change seats every 4 years.

One, we are not exactly powerless just yet.

Two, we never were a Democracy, in fact, that is what we are fighting to get away from right now.

Third and finally, we are still a country where if our vote fails, our patriots won't.

We're not exactly disarmed.

So I think you are fighting on the wrong side of history...

Real power changed seats with JFK, then Reagan, and now Trump, in the recent elections.

But keep thinking you are powerless to change anything, like that makes you somehow more aware of the situation.

Because it doesn't.
