Can we get an international filter to block all the US political threads in the top posts?

Hello, everyone. I've been a member for ages now, mostly a lurker, and I was first drawn to this site because of the cool content regarding odd subjects. However, in the recent years, it's always populated with political posts that are irrelevant to someone that doesn't live in the US. I imagine most of the traffic here is domestic, but could there be a filter to block certain forums from appearing on the top pages?
Thanks.

Scroll past them.
Or do you honestly expect the owners to cater to your whims ?

I cannot imagine a sorting function on a forum being able to differentiate like that...not that I am a programmer or an Owner here.
Sounds like a coding nightmare. IMHO.

You could set up your myATS page to only include the forums you want to see.
Or scroll past the US dominated threads on the new threads page.
Both of those pages have icons on the top of the page.

I originally came here for the ancient civs, ufo, conspiracy, etc.

The biggest problem with those topics is that they have been beaten to death, and there isn't much new out there.

I do, however enjoy the political and current event stuff as well.

Years ago I along with a few other UK members asked if we could get a "UK Madness forum", never happened so I doubt this would happen.

Out of interest what was the last forum to be created on ATS as a direct result of a members request?

Could always bring back the function that let you remove certain forums for showing up in recent.

I know self control is impossible.

So you've been here for ages, 18 posts and complain about content. Hmmm, maybe if more lurkers posted topic that interest them, things might change on ATS. I too get tired of the political threads but I've come to know by who started the thread whether or not I'm going to read it.

Just use the fishtank filter to filter out the political threads. It's simple, just put the phone or computer in the fishtank, the fish will enjoy the phone and will make a home out of your computer.

I can't argue with you there. To each their own i guess.

I was looking forward to the history forum when they added it, but disappointed at the lack of participation.

Well, in fairness, the real Brits have taken a beating from both the EU, and their own government for a couple decades. It must have taken the fight out of them.

Now i see May is threatening to ignore the Brexit vote if she doesn't get her way. SMH
