The only confirmed instance of election fraud that has swayed an election and it is by guess who....

Why North Carolina's Election Fraud Hurts American Democracy

It was an embarrassing setback for Republican candidate Mark Harris, who had maintained for months that he had no real-time knowledge of a campaign consultant’s shady — and perhaps illegal — efforts to submit absentee ballots to sway the vote in his favor.

GOP Finally Has Documented Case of Election Fraud — Committed by Republicans

So tighter voter-ID laws or voter-roll purges or more closely scrutinized voter-registration drives, the most frequent GOP prescriptions for “election security,” wouldn’t have mattered at all.

Debunking the Voter Fraud Myth

A comprehensive 2014 study published in The Washington Post found 31 credible instances of impersonation fraud from 2000 to 2014, out of more than 1 billion ballots cast. Even this tiny number is likely inflated, as the study’s author counted not just prosecutions or convictions, but any and all credible claims.

All of your sources are questionable at best.

The Brennan Center for Justice: The current President worked as Bill Clinton's speechwriter. No bias there I'm sure.

I'm afraid you suffer from a severe case of Confirmation Bias. You won't hear anything contrary to what you think from the Washington Post.

Affidavit of witness to voter fraud in Broward County, Florida

Go on, tell us its fake because it didn't come from a source that ignores half the news out there, as it may destroy the narrative.

Reading comprehension: Clearly an unattainable ability for some. I specifically used etc because there is more to it than just sanctuary cities.

You clearly do not understand how minorities operate. They create enclaves. And if you're within that neighborhood enclave, you keep your mouth shut about other people, because they are either your people, or you may face reprisals. If you see La Migra (border patrol/ICE) coming, you warn people.

And that's just one issue ICE is dealing with. Despite what the media would have you believe, they are not making sweeps through these neighborhood knocking on every door looking for "dem eelegal immgrants."

Either way ice is problematic and are failing in their duties. If you want to give cover to failed governmental endeavors then you have that right. I see through the bs and do not find their excuses to be valid.

We would be better served paying their salaries to bounty hunters.

If you saw through the BS, you wouldn't be placing blame at the feet of ICE. Instead, you'd be blaming those that have publicly called for the abolishment of ICE in favor of illegal immigration, acted against ICE openly, and completely ignore the laws in favor of votes.

You are giving cover to individuals such as those. Don't be their useful idiot.

Nope. The police should have the ability to remove someone from their jurisdiction if they do not belong their way because of criminality other than crossing the border illegally.

Instead it takes several acts by the federal government in order to remove someone.

I could care less how the failed government agencies end as long as their duties are carried out.

I do give you credit for actually seeing my pov and posting a valid opinion against my stance. Most are not able to collect their thoughts enough to see what is actually happening.

Police tried in Arizona. Asking about legal status during a traffic stop was a big no no according to the Obama admin. He had the DOJ look into the new law in Arizona, and they deemed it unconstitutional. So, perhaps they should be able to, but someone overrides them. Is that a failure of the police then?

And it takes the federal government because immigration falls under federal jurisdiction..

Immigration being accepted as a function of the federal government only came through federal over reach. Only naturalization was originally in the law then in order to deal with the Chinese railroad builders they caved into the feds.

I firmly believe that immigration should be up to the states.

If California wants to be full of illegal immigrants then let them but if Arizona does not want them then good for them.

This is how the system was designed and advocating for states rights and removing power from the federal government is our only real chance to get this right givin that federal programs always fail or grow out of proportion.

Don't avoid my question.

Police are just another agency, but at the state, county, and city levels. Did they "fail" even though the power was effectively taken from them.

Would you agree then that if California chose that, they should receive 0 entitlement funds? And instead fund those programs themselves? Or is it acceptable that a state be federally bailed out because they exercised their State's rights to get into a financial mess.

Your question answered your question.

I would like to see a place where charity rules the day. I do not feel that illegal immigrants should benefit from the system.

It is currently illegal for them to do so but of coarse some loopholes exist.

Definitely don't agree but people need to be clear that they are talking about local elections.

Not federal

For the record

Still dont agree

Wouldn’t this align directly with the 10th amendment? Show me in the constitution where it mentions state and local elections… not mentioned in the constitution = under state control…

Or do you only selectively agree with the constitution?

“The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”

In his defense, he isn't cool with it, regardless. I'd likely be pointing out things like that to lessen the impact had it been some lunatic right wing idea. I'm just glad the right is just sleeping and not awake making fools of their party like the left seems to be. It's like they tried to troll Trump by sinking to his level, and instead he just laughs at them for going there.

There is only 1 way to stop people from coming over a border.

Apply the same laws and enforce the same confidence of safety across all areas of earth.
Have the same wage for the same job, same tax, health plan, and social security everywhere.

With the only difference between the areas being the weather.

So that will never happen and the bad and good will always have differences.
What's bad?
well, currently anything that differs from the perceived thought of the person with the biggest megaphone.

looks like we all better get used to taking it.

As well as demographics, resources, population size, existing infrastructure.

I get what you're saying but there's a lot to consider in order to make that happen globally.

I think they will "call" it the Democratic Party but the Democratic Party as we know it will be dead. It will be replaced by a Democratic Socialist agenda to turn up the heat. It's just a "step" in a direction for the socialists. They know the conditioning will take awhile.

So if my question answered my question, going by that logic, how then is ICE in any different of a scenario? They too are hamstrung by rules and regulations and cannot act like bounty hunters. Yet this is their fault, whereas the police are not at fault?

And yes loopholes exist. They exist at the whim of those that wish them to be here. But also because of identity theft and fraud.

ICE is free to do their jobs. The locals are not free to do ices job.

Since ice is not doing the job give the power back to the locals.

Only I do not see what is holding ice back.

If you try to point to the mayor warning folks that ice was coming then i will tell you she had the right from what i could tell of the situation.

They had a list with some felons on it and the rest were people who did not have a record. She warned the ones without a record.

If ice would focus on the criminals and those who have been denied asylum instead of trying to say everyone who crossed the border between ports is a criminal then they would have been able to take that mayor down.
