Now just an observation.
This should teach about respect - not religion, many catholic's have a unique culture as to many protestants including the extreme Lutheran, the
Mormon (Heresy I hear many call but bear with me) and even people of other faith's such as the Devout Jewish people, the Devout Hindu and Buddhists
and of course the devout Muslim's.
My humble opinion this teacher was an absolute idiot and should be reprimanded but I genuinely believe she has learned her job and should not lose it
now that she has been corrected as to do so would be to flush that lesson right down the toilette and the lesson would then itself have been in
And to Grimpachi (because of that joke I chuckled a lot), I was baptized a Catholic - my Mother whom was an Anglican did it since she saw our Lady
when she died on an operating table and then came back because she was not willing to leave her children along in this world, she shocked the doctor
whom was about to declare her dead and as she was still feverish she spoke in her fever and though they knew she was Anglican they sent the catholic
priests to see her who wanted to know about our Lady but she would not tell them pointing out that She was Anglican and of Jewish descent on her
mother's side - and possible her fathers as well (she loved our Lady and taught us to love God but we never attended church).
I never got into all that tradition as I never knew what day it was as far as the Catholic church was concerned so have had more than my fair share
of Ham butties on every day of the year.
Still that joke was undeniably hilarious and you know what IF it had been real while it may have turned the priests hair white with shock if the guy
with the steak believed what he was doing - well I can only assume Jesus would be laughing as well - if the guy believed it that is.
I always remember this when I think of the extreme catholic tradition or any other extreme christian sect and there tradition's whom assume that
every other tradition is wrong while they alone are correct when in fact they are all wrong because Jesus along know's which he is pleased with - and
they are in all sect's and perhaps plenty that are not even Christian in this life but of course that's up to him now is it not,. Jesus was at the
mount of Olives the very place his followers would soon see him rise and change back into the spirit (with cloud's) as he ascended into heaven and the
very place an angel told them they would one day see him return so the place was significant., A woman had been found in adultery with someone (whom
you will note was conspicuously absent and probably blamed her for the lot of it) and so the Pharisee's a sect of orthodox rabbi brought her to him
and tried to test him using the law of Moses to justify there action's as it said that adulterer's should be stoned (not the other party was also not
there for this either) and Jesus looked at them, he bent and wrote in the dust with his finger - it is not recalled what he wrote but probably the
commandment from the TEN which trump Moshe law and are more important since Moshe law was merely meant to be an interpretation and expansion of the
ten commandment's - then he stood up - some say he also picked up a stone himself and looked at the crowd whom were ready to stone the poor girl to
death and he looked into there hearts into there lives and knew everything about them, they probably felt this as well and he made the one statement
which we should all remember.
"Let him who is without sin among you be the first to throw a stone at her."
He then bent back down and continued to write with his finger and they knowing in there own hearts that none of them was without sin or had not
looked upon other men's wives or daughters felt the burden of there own shame and walked away for indeed non of them was without sin.
Jesus stood up and said to her, "Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?" She said, "No one, Lord." And Jesus said, "Neither do I condemn
you; go, and from now on sin no more."
There is a tradition that claim's this was Mary Magdelene but it is not backed up with any documentation anywhere and may simply be wrong but if it
was Mar Magdelane then it show's that even a sinful soul is loved by God, he loves the repentant prodigal son or daughter no less than he loves any of
his other children which is why it is said that the Angel's celebrate when a sinner repent's.
Non of us are perfect but all of us in every denomination and religion but especially if we claim to believe in Jesus should remember his word's.
This is a sin we are almost all universally guilty of, judging other's.
“Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? 4 How can you say to your
brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? 5 You hypocrite, first take the plank out of
your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.
