Life is so constructed, that the event does not, cannot, will not, match the expectation.

And if there is no expectation for the event? If one has no hopes for an outcome I believe we may be left with freedom of potential. Is what we have to lose in this primarily constructed existence, quite limited in the first place?

Both sides have plenty of truth behind their beliefs, so can we stop generalizing each party PLEAASSSEEE. If you are participating in tearing down the other side then you may be directly apart of aiding the PTB and their divide and conquer schemes. We’ve all been deceived to some extent, at some point in time, by mass social psychology manipulation and petty ego wins that only benefit our ourselves.

You can still argue facts and topics regardless of political affiliations. Taking sides isn't always a bad thing, but division is a choice. And the moment you dehumanize opponents in favor of politics, would be the moment you chose devisions in order to conquer hearts and minds with force.

A rather subtle differentiation, but it might solve your riddle with laughter.

The problem is one side thinks their own opinions are facts. And the votes of people who have opposing opinions should not be counted based on moral grounds.

Yeah, but what if I like being ripped off on taxes, while acting smug?

This would be an example of "petty ego wins that only benefit our ourselves." Congratulations.
Although moderately amusing, completely useless.

You are about to get an onslaught of post about how bad socialism is by a bunch of #MAGA twits

Was hoping so in fact, but so far disappointed.

We choose our indoctrination based on our opinions. There's a multi billion dollar industry devoted to it called "news". Being right is being right. Knowing is half the battle (G.I. Joe). Consider that being right doesn't matter.

Being right isn't what matters at all. If anything its knowing that we are all wrong as long as we are fighting amongst ourselves instead of addressing the real issue(s). I hate to admit it but you're absolutely right, it is a mission impossible. But if we give up, where does that leave us?

It's the world of subjective.

Indeed it is. Which is also why we still have free will to choose our perspective. Quixotic? Apologies ahead of time for my optimism. Its not real. Yet it seems to be the only hope for my grandchildren.

Well much appreciated MrDoc. Most agreeable response so far. Totally agree, we've kind of got our hands tied being forced to vote between two parties that are both bought out by corporate overlords and bankers. I'll do another thread on potential broad-band solutions for this, although I'm not sure how they would ever be implemented.

a reply to: kingsquirel
Your pessimism has earned you special attention.

In a perfect utopian world your thoughts might get some attention However the divide is on and the powers that be know it...

Now either you do not see how detrimental your belief system is. . . or you do and are actively working to withhold humanity from progressing. Applause either way for your bullheaded pride and determination. Truly commendable. Would be an honor to have you fighting for true freedom of humanity.

Side one: i.e..Prior military, Constitutionalist, and any family creed that knows how good we have it and dont want the current America status to change.

Well you see, this is a large part of the issue right here. You're not necessarily wrong at all. This is all beneficial if not taken to extremes until other aspects of personalized human experience is infringed upon. Not to mention the fact that our "current America status to change" has been gradually changing for decades; slowly eroding away with subtle changes and social manipulation. So in the end both 'sides' have really been fighting for the same thing in different ways.

Side2.i.e.. naive and ignorant whom believe what they have been taught from our failed school systems, elected officials whom sold there souls to foreign entities, and last many individuals whom have never traveled abroad...say 2 states from there birth...

This is petty and I shouldn't. . . but I just can't help it. *who*. Although english sucks and whom does actually sound better. Btw I do agree with failed school systems, but that is but a small aspect of the larger picture and hardly an argument.

So would love for a perfect world...but this country did not become great by being just like everyone else

Still agreeing with you man. You're missing the point. Most people who know whats going on agree on more than they don't. But people get caught up on words (example prior), and love conflict like a drug. This country did not become great from being like everyone else. And I would hope that we continue to pioneer that path full bore ahead.
Cheers mate. Your post has been an excellent example of why parties and sides mean nigh on nothing but misinterpretations.

Same thing man. You will achieve much more making friends of your enemies rather than enemies of your friends. No one 'Wants' their rights taken away. But approached confrontationally, one is sure to defend their own out of pride and dignity. If we're making less than 50mil, we're in more need of allies than foes.
We do need our constitutional rights and personal liberties. People who disagree don't actually disagree but are blinded. Help them to see and gain an ally.

But the recent idiocy that has been going on with unequal justice is something that seems to get a pass by the left, and it's the only thing, I feel is continuing the animosity we are all seeing. It can't be ignored or dis-believed, it's factual, and recorded for history. It's taking place as we speak. I think if the left here acknowledged that and at least disavowed it, there would be a lot less infighting.

So this is a tough one. It's overall groundless, but nonetheless relevant and accurate. Yet still bizarre you see this as a symptom of only the democratic 'party'. There are countless 'atrocities' on equal terms liberals would consider the conservatives performing. The underlying difference is that conservatives generally agree on an overarching free will humanity deserves if within their ‘ideals’ of life, while liberals prioritize free will of self above that. There are obvious contradictions within each, such as the fact that one-for-all dogma intrudes on freedom, and free will can also intrude on others freedom if without restriction.
In the end, we're piling a plethora of personalities into two groups and roughly pitting them against each other. Because why not? Of course there are more than two types of people in the world. But if they are categorized into two distinct groups that cannot see past their differences, its an automatic win at least 50% of the time all the time. We're being taken for fools.

a reply to: neo96
That seems a bit conceited. Does not most everyone have truth behind their beliefs?
You're a big player on here so you've seen a lot. This may be for a whole different thread on truth... but it is objective. Diminishing another's beliefs is pointless when many are ever-changing and evolving.

Isn't this what the MudPit was designed for?

Exactly why its here

This is my aggression towards the political divide and conquer strategy that's taken ahold of Americans, and I'd reckon it's controversial enough to be here. Albeit it could be placed elsewhere, but I was hoping for more push-back on my proposal of peace among kinds.

But. Still... I have loads of fun mocking people for the opinions they confuse with facts. Please, don't make them stop! I don't get the second part though. Are you calling for voter suppression, addressing it or am I simply on the wrong train again?

There's no real disagreement with the OP on my part, I'm merely providing checks and balances to deal with (maybe even your own) misguided passion. Been there, done that.

However it seems many people labeled ‘liberal’, are good people who are simply not aware of the depth that the global agendas have infiltrated society with preconceived thought patterns.

I appreciate your comments, but would like to add that this particular view of yours is not correct. We are indeed aware of how agendas impact society and the world (and often yell about it)... but our list of perceived agendas is different than yours.

I couldn't agree more, these very systems of control are our collective enemy, not just one dimension of them.

The kind of person who desires authority in the first place is the exact kind of person who shouldn't be allowed to wield it, but that's who always ends up with it.

To quote Kahless the Unforgettable,

"Great men do not seek power, they have power thrust upon them."

I’d like think more people realize that the false facts blade cuts both ways (actually more since the fringe parties like to make up facts as well).

Truth - don’t bother me, my family, or my property, don’t try to remove or diminish my Constitutional Rights as a US citizen, and do what’s necessary to maintain US sovereignty. Follow the laws of the US, including immigration. If you disagree, attempt to change those things within the framework of their governing documents. We’ll get along fine.

Yeah, right. Frankly? Take a crap or get off the porcelain already. Is there a moment of silence in the foreseeable future, in which you will ask yourself why nothing happened? Too big to fail, anyone?

However. AOC is the new obsession in town, closely followed by the diet choices of her staffer. Tell me you can't see how her voters (not to mention her staff and her skills) formed the TPTB into a black block of opposition to actual progress?
The two party system was a corrupt blob of lobbyism and corporate campaign funds since I can remember, and it only got worse to the point of blatant oligarchy. But here we are... with some new bloods stepping up to shift the paradigm in the face of adversity and you still run around pushing literally meaningless partisan Bollocks?

That's the whole topic in a nutshell, again (again). Rinse and repeat.
