All those ISIS sympathizers are coming home now. And apparently they're bringing their toys with them.

So there were Ireland stamps on these?
Remember Ireland is now full of non-Irish.
The old IRA may not be the biggest threat from the emerald isle.

I really don't know where you got that from?

1.9% of Irish population is Asian.
1.4% of Irish population is Black.

There are a few Brits and Eastern Europeans there as well but the vast majority of people in Ireland are as Irish as you can possibly get.

Full was a poor choice of words; that said Ireland does have a whole new population of people that likely won't integrate and act pretty much as they have in England.

They were probably snipped off free porn was 'blocked'.

I just checked....its not blocked....hang on just a minute, let me check some other sites just to "check" though, just to make sure.....

Starting in April, UK residents will need to verify their age to view porn site. Totally about protecting the children, and not in the slightest because the government wants to track your porn habits. No siree.

I think the largest group of recent immigrants into Ireland have been eastern Europeans - Polish, Lithuanians etc.

Most of these will be Catholics so they immediately have at least something in common with the majority of Irish.
Its my experience that eastern Europeans tend to be very hard working yet they can be a complete pain in the arse in drink....I'm sure they'll come across many Irishmen willing to engage in their obsession with fisticuffs when drunk.

The whole world is changing....and not always for the best.

Considering the utterly useless nature of these explosives, I would be amazed if they were the work of any of the proper Republican (or Loyalist, for that matter) terrorists.

Much more likely to be some idiots protesting against/for Brexit and all the talk of hard borders.
Student types.

This is nothing new, there have been dissident Irish attacks since before and after the Brexit vote, don't get me wrong am sure its a factor but they were attacking even before this and will probably keep it up after Brexit.

I am English. My comment was not about Irish dissident's historical issues with the UK. I agree attacks are likely to continue, maybe under cover of Brexit.

Brexit, hard border/no border, reunification, whatever, it has been nearly 20 years since Stormont, when some young bloods saw Paddy and Gerry apparently sell-out. Perhaps car bombs in Derry and dodgy letter devices in London are a mere preamble.

..is this a government scare tactic to sway the public opinion on leaving the EU

Perhaps. Certainly, UK govt. & Franco-German Vichy axis of the EU-verse, have no real idea who British people actually are!

Are we now expected to be # scared and thus want to Remain in the EU?

If they can get so many to believe the false narratives around anti-Semitism, perhaps they believe they can get us to think whatever they want us to think.

I would not underestimate the British youth. They have recently shown us both a quake and a real heart for the planet.

Interesting point av just seen regarding the stamps.

The stamps are from the Republic of Ireland which could potentially indicate a Irish republican attack, not exactly proof but if we're wanting to have a discussion about possible groups responsible this seems like the only thing so far thats a indicator.

Just because they have an Irish stamp, doesn't mean the perps aren't muslim. They do live in Ireland aswell plus they may have made friends with the IRA who can get hold of explosives!

yeah but right now the most likely culprit seems to be Irish republican's.

I mean its possible that the far-right terrorists were also just in Dublin for a few days, or the eco-terrorists spent a few days in cork, ohhh how about the techno-Terrorists of Letterkenny, see how that works....

Spoken like a man who has never set foot on the island.....

Honestly I spend a lot of time in Ireland, was sitting in a pup in cork once, it was packed out and all of the locals kept cheering because "the only Libyan" in Ireland had popped in for a few jars. Now we all know he isn't the only Libyan in Ireland its just an interesting anecdote I think about the lack of ethnic diversity in Ireland. Not that they don't like diversity, actually it's almost the opposite but Ireland is very, very Irish.

Its probably more Irish than America is American or Australia is Australian if that makes sense, so in my view you sir are talking out of your bottom and its not nice, its very very smelly.

Well done guys, don't need crap like that anywhere in the nation.

Lock the bastards responsible up for a very long time!

Strange hearing that from you...

Terrorist groups usually do that.

No, I've never been there but the pictures I've seen show African migrants so they aren't even Muslim necessarily. The government has declared they are going to swing the immigration doors wide open and don't seem to care who or where they come from. Why do we keep reading about Jihadis returning to the UK if it isn't widespread. Our difference would be the danger or the degree to which the UK has been affected. I would argue it's already too late and England will be part of the Caliphate in less than 100 years.

Not sure that's the conspiracy theorist in me either, just the passive observer.

I know you won’t believe me, there is nothing I can do about that but the idea of the U.K. becoming a Muslim state is just some wired work of fiction that seems to mostly come from American media. To those of us who live here it’s frankly quite funny thst some of you believe this, now yes we do have a small but very vocal group on the far-right who also like to push thus myth but it remains a myth.

Now like I say I know you probably won’t believe that, not much I can do or say to sway you on it but that’s just how it is.

Got say; I absolutely agree with OSOTC, there is no chance whatsoever of the UK becoming a Muslim state.
At the last census in 2011 Muslim's accounted for 4.4% of the UK's total population.

Do we have problems with Muslim extremists?
Yes, in my opinion we do and we have a few problems that are specific to the Muslim community and the sooner we are honest enough to openly admit this then the sooner we will be able to start addressing these issues.

But there's not a hope in hell that the UK will become a Muslim state, (its the UK and not just England).

And where is this Caliphate you speak of?

Agreed with the above, it's completely laughable to think the UK will turn into some 'coffee coloured caliphate'.

Glasgow Uni has been evacuated after suspicious device found in mailroom, no news on if it was viable or not.
