Sony PSX

Not the Playstation 3, this is the Sony PSX. The PSX is Sony’s new device that has been designed to play Playstation 1&2 games, use broadband internet, and record both DVD and the TV.

The PSX was released in Japan in December 2004. Two versions were released; The PSX DESR-5000 which has a 160GB hard drive, and the PSX DESR-7000 which holds a larger 250GB hard drive. The PSX has proved to be an instant success in Japan, with the first batch of units selling out.

That was a cool looking machine. Would anybody know where to get one in usa.

I remember thinking how this would have made a great convergance device for the living room. Too bad it was a little bit ahead of its time. Maybe if they had used this with ps3 technology and blu ray it might have had a chance of making it.
