I immediately liked William Barr when he said Journalists could be arrested, and news organizations prosecuted, if they were "red flagged" by his system.

it's great Barr is putting together a penalty system like that! I hope journalists are held to a higher standard than naturally deranged actors and comedians.

What in the holy feck man?
Down the rabbit hole you go. That is not what America and our journalists are about.
So you are for jailing those that are out spoken and question things?

Dude I am so going to use this against you in the future.

But I will say that if he keeps the report from public eyes then he may be in some hole

Why ?
The Dims have been doing an excellent job of keeping all things Wasserman-Scultz and Hillary Clinton out of public eyes for years.
Pay back time...

In that case we would not have a single news organization. They all lie and it is up to us to sift through the crap. But to call on the jailing of those that report the news as they see fit is not a road to go down.
So now I ask you is this a road that you want ahead of you?

Trump will be impeached within a week...

That's the word on the streets.

Prob is that paperwork is never going to pass the senate.

Trump haters will drag it out for two years just like they did their Russia false flag.

Just in time for 2020.

Personally I'm thinking of buying stock in Kleenex.

Better get in quick. The stock price has exploded over the last 2 years. I'm expecting another 1000% return this year.

How would the government arrest people for lying if the government is not involved? What exactly are you getting on about?

Democrats hemorrhaging now that the new Attorney General William Barr has confirmed he WILL NOT recuse from the Mueller investigations !!

I call hyperbole on the op!

The man was voted into his job as he clearly stated he would not recuse.

Who needs ethics anyhow?

So Trump own an Attorney General.

The guy really knows how to drain a swamp....

Trump chose an attorney general that was appointed by congress.

This particular attorney general hasn't said that he is a wing man for the president, like Holder did...

So it's a step up.

Up to his neck in the muck?

Opinion from a guy living on a little island owned by the UK with the 53rd biggest GDP on the planet noted.

Deflect from topic much?

New Zealand isn't owned by the UK, it is a sovereign nation, which is a hard concept for an American (because they ignore the sovereignty of nearly every other country and just send troops and establish bases, as if there was some special exclusion in international law just for them).

Like your colony in the US, New Zealand has achieved independence, which we call dominion. Our Dominion Day was on 26 September 1907. Full independence was further ratified in 1931 with the UK's Statute of Westminster and acknowledged into New Zealand law by act of New Zealand Parliament in 1947.

As far as GDP goes, we have a lower GDP because we have a smaller population. If you wish to compare GDP per capita, we are 28th in the world (the US being 11th).

If you really wish to compare overall standard of living, considering many factors other than just GDP, you could look at the Quality of Life Index by Country.

... and the realm of New Zealand covers lots of islands (as I have mentioned previously). It is no more a single island than the US mainland.

And, back on topic, I only made the comment because it looks like instead of cleaning up US politics, Trump has actually brought in a whole new level of corruption. He has just 'dumped his garbage into the swamp and allowed it to marinate', metaphorically. Perhaps that is why Trump is now under investigation, because of all the felons that he brought along with him?

edit on 5/3/2019 by chr0naut because: (no reason given)

As AG, Barr has 100% authority as to what Congress gets to "see" when MBueller finally issues a final report !!

Guess who gets the last laugh 😀

Barr played it kool during his Senate Confirmation hearings by not saying whether or not he would recuse himself roflol 😀

Trump's New Attorney General Won't Recuse Himself in Mueller Probe

Attorney General William Barr said he won’t recuse himself from being in charge of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation, a major development affecting the fate of the politically charged probe into President Donald Trump.

“Following General Barr’s confirmation, senior career ethics officials advised that General Barr should not recuse himself from the special counsel’s investigation. Consistent with that advice, General Barr has decided not to recuse,” Kerri Kupec, a Justice Department spokeswoman.

"Tea and Crumpets anyone?"

"Get Ready Democrats for the Letdown of Your Lives !"

All these congressional committee hearings to take place, who would they request an investigation from?
Would that be the DOJ?

Well you and you grandma (bless her soul) should take a step back and think a bit.
Your idea of jailing Journalists is a very dangerous tactic.
I can lend you my copy of “1984” if you would like.
