Income tax fraud quiz

Has anyone else gotten a letter to take a fraud quiz to get your state taxes back? I live in Michigan and just received one, and took the online verification quiz, which failed of course. The thing is, the idiots already sent me my state refund check. Anyone else have this issue before? Thanks!

Live in Oregon now, but part of last year was in Ohio and yep, they sent me a letter, but not my wife. They dont process your refund without one is my understanding.

That's the thing, I got a paper check in the mail 2 weeks ago. Got this letter today.

ETA: I was supposed to get my check direct deposited, and it came as a paper check instead. Maybe after the paper check, they went to try and deposit and it came up that they already payed me? Only thing I can think of.

Just confirming your identity. Your ssn, amount your expected to get back, etc.

Sounds like a scam. Did you punch in all that info?

hmmm, thats odd, if you chose direct deposit, have done a credit check just to be certain nobody has stolen your identity?
