Off topic political posts usually get removed, that's one of the great things about ATS, the moderators can get rid of that off topic crap.

But, what if a UFO lands in a very public way and the occupants come out wearing MAGA hats?

There is no doubt that politics has become a mud slinging contest all over the world and that means it becomes interesting. That leads to more threads about them.
I am not into American politics so it can be a little jarring to see everything being about Trump or Clinton.

It's just the way it's gone. I pick and choose what I want to read and reply to. Always have.

No one can deny that the entire world is in a state of political change. And that will affect the content, surely.

If there were not so much left/right rubbish going on every day, in every way, things would be different..

Whoever is #-in with our lives the most, gets talked about the most. Politicians and their 'ideas' have only one goal in mind - to determine the extent of government control over the conduct of humans.

They drew the short straw therefore, instinct and logic dictates that they will be the main focus surrounding the direction society(s) go.

So just like FB, twitter, instagram, CNN, MSNBC, Buzzkill, ESPN, childrens cartoons etc - ATS will also bring to the forefront anything that effects government control of our personal conduct, or when politicians do and say stupid things.
