Think of it this way: everything is still made up of atoms. Even atoms are made up of smaller things. Individuals are the whole.

Where does a circumference begin, a mobius strip, a torus.

Realizing that ''accepting as fact that we have souls'' brings into question the question of ''what has''.

What if souls depend upon faith instead of fact.

Maybe another good question instead of where and when do souls originate would be when and where is the lifelong experience of striving to know those answers extinguished.

I do believe in reincarnation too. And indeed it is possible that souls come from a realm where time does not exist. Then we could even reincarnate into the past since in such realm time would just be something like continuous map of events or so. It is also possible that we were always there since time only exists in the Universe and not everywhere it flows the same etc.

Are you familiar with Robert Lanza's Biocentrism? In brief it says (he has demonstrated it via experiments) that an electron is just energy formed into the form of an electron. In order to enable the electron to be electron, the energy needs and observer in order to form into the desired (imagined, assumed) form. If we accept that, then imagine the Earth as a place that we do share as souls embedded in our bodies and thus we Humans and all other concious beings are the observers thanks to who we perceive the Earth and perhaps the whole Universe as we do.

They say it is zinc spark but maybe it bears deeper meaning.
When the egg gets fertilized, a flash of light occurs.

thanks for the alert... the instant of creating the Zygote of Egg/sperm union...a spark of life or Soul is generated...
but not from 'nothingness' the Soul pool of consciousness is under the Throne of the Goddess Creator in a cistern-of-consciousness & divvied out to individual Souls in whatever lifeform or inorganic body the Soul inhabits

appreciate your input from another (hopefully) esoteric mind ...

Could anyone point me in the right direction regarding literature, links, ideas, thoughts, experiences?

Ever since Poggio Bracciolini discovered The Nature of Things by Lucretius, we have had this wonderful explanation of atoms, and what is and what isn't eternal. I can't quote the whole work but here is a sample (translated into English)

Nor nothing to nothing evermore return.
And, too, the selfsame power might end alike
All things, were they not still together held
By matter eternal, shackled through its parts,
Now more, now less. A touch might be enough
To cause destruction. For the slightest force
Would loose the weft of things wherein no part
Were of imperishable stock. But now
Because the fastenings of primordial parts
Are put together diversely and stuff
Is everlasting, things abide the same
Unhurt and sure, until some power comes on
Strong to destroy the warp and woof of each:
Nothing returns to naught; but all return
At their collapse to primal forms of stuff.
Lo, the rains perish which Ether-father throws
Down to the bosom of Earth-mother; but then
Upsprings the shining grain, and boughs are green
Amid the trees, and trees themselves wax big
And lade themselves with fruits; and hence in turn
The race of man and all the wild are fed;
Hence joyful cities thrive with boys and girls;
And leafy woodlands echo with new birds;
Hence cattle, fat and drowsy, lay their bulk
Along the joyous pastures whilst the drops
Of white ooze trickle from distended bags;
Hence the young scamper on their weakling joints
Along the tender herbs, fresh hearts afrisk
With warm new milk. Thus naught of what so seems
Perishes utterly, since Nature ever
Upbuilds one thing from other, suffering naught
To come to birth but through some other's death.

No the electron is just a peek in the energy field. On a very basic level all is just an energy field.

Well, they come out of the Great Turtle that carries the Earth, of course.

Which end they come out of we don't know, but we are certain they come out of the Turtle. Much faith has been placed into this.

They aren't. Anyone who tells you differently is a religious person with an unprovable position.

Neither religions nor science as we know it can explain a soul. The idea of a soul has been tossed around for centuries but there is absolutely no evidence of a "soul" even existing. Mostly, the "soul" has been a construct to embellish humanity's actual existence as separate and above all the other living creatures. Even plant life has been brought into the thought and discussion as having a soul - even pets.

It's a "nice" idea - that's all.

I am of no religious persuasion I think a lot like you about the spirit/soul.

If you have seen a baby born it is lifeless till it takes its first breath and

then it takes on its own 'life force.'

I have had the pain in life of loosing two daughters one at the age of two

and a half and the other one at forty nine....... and I can best describe it

as recognising the bodies as the outer shell of my girls but they weren't there.

Their souls had left. For some while after their deaths I often got their own

special aromas come to me.

Sorry for your tremendous loss. I lost my father many, many years ago while I was quite religious. I would have done anything to sense him in the the ensuing years. Loved him tremendously. It was not to be. No longer have those expectations. Must bring you great comfort. Don't believe religion has anything to do with what our "hearts" know.

The energy perceived as the human soul to 1 was created from materials that Existed since the begining of creation.
The Metaphysical soul-spirit-internal energy just like a Star that goes Supernova that then can either become a black hole, dark energy, neutron star or nebula to start new Creation, depending on circumstances can change forms through out Existence...
These circumstances that change, move and or relocate the Eternal Spirit Energy though may be partially perceived and somewhat understood by Humanity and other CREATOR Creations experiencing the Phases of life and death within Existence.

Scripture

Lays it out completely....as usual.....Scripture is like ......magic

A pool of souls caught in the devils bargain....

We volunteered for this.....

I figure thats what mzde the devil upset.....God made man...the souls.....ABOVE the angels.....

So, we come from way back and know eqch other from there...to be re united.......

I figure we have been manipulated and coeerced by a multitude ot generations. Seriously, we have been let down and fooled by a belief system.

There is nothing in the body....

The body simply appears........ in you (consciousness).

You are the ever present witness.

Here I'd like to mention that Hinduistic teachings say that even the Universe is sort of trapped in an eternal cycle of creation, existence and destruction. It is so far the only religious teaching I have noticed touches Universal issues

What is appearing, is appearing and disappearing in the same instance..... this creates the illusion of time. So creation and destruction is ever present.
But there is something (which isn't a thing) which knows the appearance is passing...... that was never born and will never die..... the all seeing I.

So yes, in such terms we are definitely eternal.
