First off, I am not a Veteran, I was never in the military. I do however have a GREAT appreciation for the men and woman who have sacrificed it all.
My Grandfather died in France during WW2, I lost 4 uncles in Vietnam, My Father was stationed on the USS Yosemite (We fix em so you can fight em)
in the 80's. I was born in Newport RI as a result, Lived their until the ripe old age of 3. I had no intentions on making a thread today, however I saw something on the tube that damn near brought me to tears (will post below) Music has pushed me through some very hard times recently, and this among other things made me think of our Country The USA!. I do my service to this country and I am damn proud of it but, lets take a minute to recognize the Soldiers. Those we have lost, those who are far from home, those who are home but will never again feel that way. Music is medicine!
please post whatever song/or other you feel may comfort these incredible people and their loved ones. Something you post may help them, as it helped me.

THANK YOU!!! GOD BLESS AMERICA!

Sky pilot..good stuff. My whole family wanted me to enlist following 911...I decided to go play hockey in the GTA. That failed lol..should have listened to them. Honestly though, have we forgotten how many Men and Woman are currently displaced from their family's to give us the right to do what we're doing right now?

The truest patriotism is found in the military. These men and women are ready to die for the freedoms of their country.

I spent a few years trying not to get choked up by patriotic sentiment because of 911 anger. I finally gave it up and just cry when I here patriotic songs and see these reunions. Tears flowed for this one.

It doesn't matter if you believe in these wars or not. What matters is that our fellow Americans have lost a lot in the name of.. We need to support them regardless. Their in some godforsaken place with an American patch on their arm...For Us
