If you want a nation that claims it's the best in the world, you can only achieve that through competition. Let anyone come, and make people earn their spot. If a resident loses out to an immigrant, that person can get out and be replaced.

That's what it means to want to be on top.

I've not been removed from them, but I don't appear on much either because I'm actually pretty careful about putting my information online. If you search my parents for example, my step siblings get listed as their children, and I am not listed at all. Where I live, phone number, past addresses, etc... while the information they do have on me does tend to be accurate, about 95% of the things it should list is omitted.

But, with that said. Once your information is out there, it's out there and you can never get rid of it. A photo of yourself with your name, and it's added to every facial recognition database on all social media. Any photo you ever appear in from then on, is now part of that information on you. So you have to avoid all cameras, and never be in photos.

Email addresses with your name on them, same deal.

You have to keep track of every screen name you post, and tailor any information about yourself that you do post (and keep it consistent across websites), to each name, and avoid building links between them that you don't want to have linked.

Most of all though, once you've messed up, you can't fix it. You get one shot at it in your life. Most people don't even get that, because their parents or friends will post their photos/images without their consent.

Actually, such scores are the most free market invention there has ever been. It gives both the user feedback as to their ability/worth. And anyone who wishes to do business with them also gets the same feedback. Markets work only through access to information, and this results in clear, reliable information to all parties.

If you wish for a capitalistic society, where people make market based decisions, to buy the highest quality employee at the price you're willing to pay then this is precisely what you want. If you support obfuscating information, because you're incapable of competing when people know you aren't offering exactly what you claim to be offering (or what you're offering, simply isn't good enough), then of course you wouldn't like this system. But do you know what capitalism has to say about that? Innovate, improve, and do it better/faster/cheaper in the future... or starve to death. Your choice.

If you don't like that, maybe it's not actually capitalism that you support?

Perhaps you are mediocre, like most folks, but you're ego tells you that you are something better than everyone else?

Do you valorize your own qualities, then judge others based on that?
What if someone else were to make the rules, and you came-out on the bottom of the heap?
You know: a humanitarian, or such?

Nope. But, in the US there's a common belief, particularly among the right in American Exceptionalism. That means that we are the best, and favor "competitive" systems because they believe they're naturally advantaged to always win. Yet, so many think they're the best without putting any work into it.

If you want a system of cutthroat competition, then my opinion is that people should commit to that. Set the rules to social darwinism, and punish the losers harshly. Let anyone in, and ensure that only the best can remain. Most people seem to back down when challenged with the fact that they might actually lose a competition that isn't rigged in their favor. Which goes to the other point, if we don't want life to be nothing more than a meaningless struggle where we all eventually lose, suffer, and die... then perhaps we should start implementing policies that allow us to look after each other, rather than favor only the most successful.

Netflix is TV. It doesn't change the fact that TV is very low on my list of priorities.

When I looked into it there was some fine print that says it is not possible to be remove yourself because it's not 'our data its an aggregate from the web and other sites' blablabla

I thought credit scores and criminal records were already in effect.
