Well, looks like this website, which I never heard of, has got a rather negative score itself.
With lawsuits regarding spam, fraud and deception, trying to get people to pony up because 'someone is looking for them'.
Since 2008 this company has had to pay over $10 million in legal settlements and penalties.

The Better Business Bureau (BBB) has revoked MyLife's accreditation, initially giving MyLife a rating of D-, and later an F, stating:

"On March 20, 2015, this company's accreditation in BBB was revoked by BBB's Board of Directors due to recent government action involving the business's customer relations which indicates a significant failure of the business to meet standards of conduct expected of a BBB member."

what we need to do is... hold a worldwide protest all on the same day and where possible at the same time. We need to cripple businesses for a good few hours... maybe several hours until our message is heard. And not only about the issue in the OP but many other issues going on right now.

Communism and socialism aren't just a commodity of the left. It's also the rich that build their own social clubs. Creating laws to help them.

Capatalism, was it ever fair or 100 percent? The rich live by a different set of laws that common business men live by. The land of the free was never free to women and minorities.

I'm not so much worried about what they say about me, I just really want to be off those sites.

You know what is really sick (both literally and figuratively) the alert I got for one of my neighbors was because he had cancer and fell behind on his mortgage. How sad that we are being "measured" on nonsense like that.

LOL!!! Their list of "punishments" amuses me greatly.
Being publicly named and shamed: HaHa!!! Like I give a damn.
Prevented from applying for credit cards: Haven't had one in 15 years... again, like I'd care.
Prevented from applying for certain jobs: ProTip... if the job involves a social credit score rather than me simply using my degree and expertise, then the job can likely be shoved straight up the company's ass, I wouldn't want to work there anyway.
Throttled internet speeds: I can work around that easily enough... likely further lowering my social credit score in the process, as my methods are decidedly illegal but again... like I'd care.
Restricted access to dating sites: I don't think my wife would appreciate me visiting dating sites, anyway so...

You know, at this point the US may as well bring the noise because I'm not seeing any downsides to their punishments. In fact, I'd make a game out of it for those "punishments," see how low I can make my score go and wear it as a badge of honor.

Social scores are an idea that came from the US, it's essentially a more accurate version of our credit scores, except they're using it to authorize more things.

As an idea they're not entirely bad, but China's implementation of using them to force loyalty to the regime is very bad.
