If the GOP had secured wall money when they had control of Congress, there'd be no need for a national emergency.

If they had started an investigation into Trump's taxes, business dealings, etc, they would have had control of the conversation. They didn't. Hence the Cohen testimony.

If Cohen hadn't lied when initially questioned, back when the GOP was in power, they would have been able to manage his testimony and do damage control.

If the HRC camp hadn't enabled and hidden her email use, she wouldn't have had that anvil drop on her during her campaign.

Moral of the story: Take action to show your ethics when you can-- inaction and obfuscation makes you vulnerable to those who are suspicious of you.

"Ethics" and "politicians" don't belong in the same sentence.

If you keep brushing things under the rug, eventually you will trip on the rug.

Clearly the democrats have a much bigger, more well protected and concealed rug than the republicans do.

And so (politicians) should not only be subject and held to far greater scrutiny than their voters but also face more punitive sanctions for any malfeasance
