Spoiler alert: No ones cares that she ate a hamburger. Well, I take that back. It seems that conservatives care a great deal.

I think the things conservatives believe liberals care about don't register on most peoples' radar.

This is an unintentionally hilarious thread, BTW. I am glad you started it.

The really pathetic part about all of this is that she has probably directed her staff never to eat hamburgers again.

At least in view of any cameras.

My daughter is vegetarian. I eat meat every meal, no exceptions. My daughter eats with me at the table. Is she a hypocrite?

I don't know... has your daughter ever tried to tell me not to eat meat? Is she in a position to help pass a law to that effect?

If so... yes, she's a hypocrite.

Define insanity.
Liberals create "purity test".
Liberals fail "purity test".
Liberals rewrite the rules of their "purity test".
.....
Liberals still fail "purity test".

AOC belongs to a cult of personality. Anyone who supports her belongs to the same cult.

Even bigger spoiler,

No one doubted people on the far left would accept her hypocrisy and act like the people pointing out her double standards are the ones doing wrong.

Some throw a salad into a can of beans and make something called "vegetarian chili" It's known in Texas and New Mexico as "bland beans."

God, I miss the days when that statement was hyperbole instead of blunt fact.

In the traditional world, vegan and any reference to meat cannot be used together.

No such thing as vegetarian chili. Much like turkey bacon should not be called bacon.

I continue to disagree. She's made a suggestion; an insistence as you put it, to possibly restrict ourselves from consuming so much factory-farmed meat.

" It’s not to say we’re gonna force everybody to go vegan or anything crazy like that. But it’s to say, ‘Listen, we gotta address factory farming. Maybe we shouldn’t be eating a hamburger for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Like, let’s keep it real.”

What part of that statement is saying eating hamburgers should be restricted? What part of that is a threat?
She's addressing a topic regarding factory farming. Stupidly, she's using it to address "global warming", but it's a topic we should really be concerned about in the sake of animal welfare at least as well as the increased necessity of it due to exponential population growth.

And regarding your comment on her leadership, she essentially WAS leading by example in that picture. She was not eating a hamburger. Somebody else was. That's all she can legally and ethically do.

It's not like she was acting as Paul McCartney has regarding forcing his eating habits and ethical beliefs on others.

And received kudos for it:LINK3

I see no trap set. I see people over-reacting at any given chance to something trivial(an extremely common and sad occurence these days). I despise socialism, communism and much of what she supports, but I'm not going to nitpick at something like this as a form of outrage. Again, heaven knows politicians from every role and the wealthy have historically, frequently abused their powers and decrees with hypocrisy and little is ever done or said about it.
