1,200 years later and those darn Hindus still have a chip on the shoulder over being conquered by the Caliphate. They aren't going to just "move on" over this either. It's been an ongoing fight and I'm afraid of this getting out of hand quickly. it's a flashpoint for sure and likely to set off a chain of events the world would regret.

Not good news at all.

If tensions continue to worsen between the two countries, India may have to gain support from its biggest allies. Russia has been a close ally of India since its independence and they are also one of the biggest partners in bilateral trade. USA President Donald Trump is also said to be pro-India due to receiving a lot of funding from Hindus in his campaign for president.
www.express.co.uk... so if it stays that way on paper with both super powers supporting india pakistan is most likely to back the heck off

Their wording is always vague, and indicative of a policy of last resort for first use. They have essentially agreed to a no first use policy since India first introduced it in the 90's. Last resorts are the exception, they don't make definitive terms as to what that would be, and seeing how many skirmishes they've had over Kashmir that didn't go nuclear, I would say it's probably an actual last resort policy for first strike.

But hey, if some media sites told you it's gonna happen, it probably will.

They will most likely de-escalate this because they are two countries that used to be the same one and are basically the same people.

As a general rule of thumb Pakistani's and Indians absolutely hate each other.
Their hatred is deep rotted and goes back centuries.

Only religion seperates them.

This must go down as one of the biggest under-statements I've ever read....you do realise that religion is probably the single biggest cause of war ever in human history, don't you?

In my opinion there could be a third party pitting the two against each other as they may have much to gain from them embattled and against each other rather than working together in harmony.

These two nations don't need a third party, they absolutely despise each other.
Other nations in the region will be petrified of any escalation towards full blown military action....both possess nuclear weapons and both would use them if they were facing defeat.

Which is probably why both Russia and China are working hard to find a diplomatic solution.

No-one benefits by these two going to war with each other.

Lot of the Muslims in Bangladesh and Pakistan are actually descended on the male line particularly those in positions of power from Arab invaders who bought Islam to India and the Hindu natives didn't like being colonised by outsiders and have fought back ever since. In addition to which the Muslims pre partition also did the dirty work for running the place for the British Empire. Hindus have only just got independence from Muslims and they aren't going to take their continued efforts to infiltrate India after all those years sitting down.

Comments on that video are saying that the uniform and insignia are all wrong for one of those pilots.....then again another comment is saying that footage is from an old incident....in which case if it's a real old incident, the uniform can't be wrong.

Hopefully someone can clarify these details.

Completelely reverse...................It's the Muslims that did all the aggression going back hundreds of years by the Arabs and then as the colonial whip masters for the British Empire and did all the "penetrating" into India. India decided it didn't want to be ruled by Islam which is an Abrahamic western religious group and pushed them back into Pakistan and Bangladesh prefering their native culture and religion.

Still to this day Pakistan sends Islamic fighters to invade India, indeed that suicide bombing in Iran the other day that targeted IRGC is also connected to Pakistan offensive actions terrorising other states. Pakistan needs to stop their meddling

I see a problem this is supposed to be the pilot but he has a beard? In a fighter jet they have to use oxygen masks they dont work with beards.

Was there helicopters used?
So who is this guy?

Absolute nonsense....Muslim extremists infest every level of Pakistan society and they support, protect and export terrorism on a level not matched by any other nation.

This could get interesting as they both have NUCLEAR MISSILES pointed at each other too.

I don't think it can come to much based on the fact they are both nuclear powers. If one looks like it was gonna lose everything in a traditional war obviously it would let loose the bomb to take its enemy out with it. This is another case of MAD only allowing it to go so far.

Put those toys down, boys. You know there is nothing to win here.

They don't need ICBM's they can strike anywhere in India with the nuclear weapons they have.

India has SSBNs and Pakistan has the potential to launch nuclear weapons from submarines too.

India's prime minister Narendra Modi is currently in a meeting with his security and intelligence chiefs , Pakistan has closed its air space to commercial flights and is reported to have said they are ready to sit down and talk.

Best to leave it at a score draw.

BBC reporting Pakistan PM saying both sides need to pull back from conflict and that neither wants to use its weapons. Quite ironic being that his own security services engineered this crisis by exporting terror against India and getting the ultimate response.
