No babbling here, you're the one who brought the Examiner into the discussion in the first place. The poster to whom you replied made no mention at all of that source.

Now, as I have asked previously, do you have any comment at all on how the cost for every building in the U.S. to be upgrade is to be addressed?

Yeah, plenty of feel-good phrases and catchwords, with absolutely no plan or idea how to go about it. Funny thing is AOC blathers on about airplanes and cow farts, then deletes from her website after someone convinced her just how stupid she sounded. Yeah, facts it is.

*Sighs* He mentioned upgraded buildings without citing a source so I took it upon myself to seek it and the only result was the Washington Examiner.

And I already commented on the cost. If you read, I have stated that they had similar problems with the 2009 stimulus package.

If you wanted the text of the FAQ or the Green New Deal, all you had to do was search this site. Both have been posted and reposted multiple times here over the past few weeks since this idiocy was released because you're not the first poster to claim this is all a vast right wing conspiracy to make AOC sound stupid via right wing news sources.

We don't have to make her sound stupid with an inept plan, she did that all by herself with her own inept plan.

One could post the congressional link, and they still wouldn't read it.

The Green New Deal (GND) quickly became the subject of such mockery that its godmother, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, attempted to scrub the talking points from her website and pretend they never existed at all. The effort to erase this political disaster is one of the biggest political gaslighting operations in recent memory.

Yeah

Don't like that sourcE?

Buy one get one free.

A fact sheet from AOC’s office about the Green New Deal was wrong. It also highlighted the underlying tensions in the Democratic Party.

Ok. So why complain about GND and AOC? She's just a young little girl and you guys give her too much credit and power. It's as if you guys are terrified of her.

They are terrified of her, she represents change and change is scary, especially when you are thoroughly ingrained and set in your ways.

She represents stupidity.

Why are her supporters terrified of actually reading the green new deal and her faqs?

Read my comment in your slaughterbot thread.

She isn't.

M
I still think she's great.
You can think whatever you want but she’s plainly ill-informed. Aldo,in just walk
Outside ? She obviously has not heard that there’s been a magnetic pole shift which has changed things slightly and it has nothing to do with anthropogenic global warming err I mean Climate Change.

Ok, some quick back of the envelope calculations:

CBECS estimates that there were 5.6 million commercial buildings in the United States in 2012, comprising 87 billion square feet of floorspace

A Look at the U.S. Commercial Building Stock: Results from EIA's 2012 Commercial Buildings Energy Consumption Survey (CBECS)

Standard lighting retrofits: $0.90-$1.20 per square foot.

Retro-commissioning buildings: $0.05 and $0.40 per square foot.

Rules of Thumb Energy Efficiency in Buildings-(direct .pdf link @epa.gov)

So, just for lighting in only commercial buildings we have from $78,300,000,000 to $104,400,000,000
For retro-commissioning (which I am not sure exactly what all is included) buildings we have an additional $4,350,000,000 to $34,800,000,000

So we have anywhere from $82,650,000,000 to $139,920,000,000 just for commercial buildings alone as of 2012. There are likely quite a few more square feet of commercial buildings that have been built since then, but let us presume that they were all built to peek energy efficiency and do not require any sort of upgrades.

Keep in mind also, that this does not include residential structures.

Going with these rough estimates, just for the building upgrades we are looking at many tens of to hundreds of billions of dollars that would need to be spent on this portion of the NGD alone.

I can't speak for everyone, but I don't fear her in the last. I do, however, find her hilariously funny in her ability to be a completely clueless moron. Sort of like how you folks feel about Trump.

Hey,

Perhaps you're really fearing Trump then, and projecting that feeling upon those mocking AOC (who, let's face it, deserves the mocking)? NOw it all makes sense. You fear Trump because it's a change from the standard politicians lying to you and rogering you at every stage of the process!

Of course. Thank you so much for shedding some light on your reasoning for the constant Trump bashing. You are afraid of him!

Brilliant!

You can't just throw around these "facts" without backing them up. I'm not even saying you're wrong.

But when you say things like "Effing LIE", show your work. Show us that it's a lie. Rather than just assuming that everyone should automatically agree with you, give us an actual reason to agree with you.

"Deny Ignorance" also means "don't spout random accusations without backing them up".

The "GD" link you posted? I did READ it. It says that 64% of Republicans support the GND. Right there on page 2.

What I'm saying is, why is it a lie? What evidence do you have that proves that the 64% quoted in the FAQ is inaccurate? Do you have information to show that it's less than 64%, or are you just saying that because you don't believe it?

Again, I'm not even saying you're wrong. But at least give us a little evidence to back up your claims.
