If you carefully read my posts I have never condoned violence. My anti-"war for profit" and anti-MIC posts attest to that.

I have seen the rationalizing and the level to which wedge politics is being played out.

Gianforte was charged with assault. Whats stopping him from claiming the cost of the glasses from Gianforte?
Even sue for millions ( "lawyer up" is what they say on ATS? ) as there is good evidence of the assault?

Money makes everything right/sarc?

As to your particular glasses/financial situation. We have "communism here in Australia" according to some ATS posters ( single payer ) and we have reasonable private insurance costs - ( rah rah it'll never work in the US because that means we'll be commies )

I get 1 pair every year with about $50 out of pocket or sometimes free replacement. Did I mention that we only pay about $200 per month for the Private Insurance? And my dental costs are covered about 50/50.
When I feel cheeky I use the free Hospitals and dont tell them I have private Insurance and dont get charged at all.

Petrols expensive because even though we produce a lot its tied to the Singapore Price and the Govt gets about 70c out of every $1 we pay at the pump. We don't get those great subsidies and windfall that the States have by Oil being traded US dollars even though as taxpayers pay to fight alongside the US in wars for profit.

You seriously have to ask yourselves where have all those profits/trillions gone. Why cant your society provide a safety blanket for the needy? Why when anyone suggests it, some call it the beginning of communism.

Why cant US ATS'ers see that both parties are in it only for themselves and powerful lobby groups/corps rule your country.

Come down to Australia, many have made the move, we need more talent.

Ben Jacobs, a Guardian political reporter, was asking Greg Gianforte, a tech millionaire endorsed by Donald Trump, about the Republican healthcare plan when the candidate allegedly “body-slammed” the reporter.

Do you even know what it means? We're talking about immigration.

Xenophobia is the fear of anyone different than oneself. It is also typically (mis)used to describe political opponents as a general derogatory term. Translated to normal English, in that latter context it means "You're wrong and I can't explain why."

How is me saying that the white supremacists favor the Republican party painting Republicans with a broad brush?

When I reply, I typically provide the section of the post I am replying to, for context. In this case, the statement about Jews being mostly Democratic voters was the context of the reply.

What's self-evident is you lack the proper reading comprehension to understand my post.

Again, self-evident; I am unfortunately not bi-lingual. I'm still working on my "progressive-to-English" translator. There seems to be a few bugs with the continual updates happening so fast. I'll get it right; don't worry.

I don't know if trump is a racist, but he did accommodate racists. Wether it was moving black folk into different areas so racists wouldn't see them at his casino, or supporting his father's racist policies.

Who knows if he is a hardcore racist, but he surely is no crusader for civil rights.

I mean, it’s easy to accept anecdotes as evidence, but let’s look at the hard stuff.

What about his work with the rainbow coalition?

It's the fear of foreigners. Trump bolsters that image when it comes to building the southern walls.

Ah ok so you were referring to the Jews. Well here's a link for you: www.jta.org...

Posters in New York declare Trump supporters ‘trash’ Published time: 27 Oct, 2018 03:32 Edited time: 27 Oct, 2018 10:22

Fake Sanitation Department posters depicting Trump-supporting middle-Americans as “trash,” have appeared across New York City, true to the stereotype of coastals’ liberal attitudes. One of the posters in the series depicts an overweight ‘redneck’ type, arm tattooed with a Confederate flag, wearing a red ‘Make America Great Again’ hat and slurping from a Chick-fil-A cup.

Except Trump never mentions foreigners or immigrants. He always speaks about illegal immigration. So why do you guys conflate illegal immigrants with immigrants and foreigners? Did Trump bolster that image, leading to you conflating them?

a person born in or coming from a country other than one's own.

Sure seems to apply people from South America.

All of whom can enter the country legally. My question is, why conflate illegal immigration through the southern border to foreigners and immigrants in general?

I am not conflating them. By definition, illegal and legal immigrations ARE (or were) foreigners.
The point is xenophobia is a fear of foreigners, which includes immigrants, legal or not. Trump wants strong border security to prevent the South Americans from coming in, which resonate with the white supremacists.

No, he wants stronger border security to stem the flow of illegal immigration, not foreigners. I think your conflation resonates with white supremacists and xenophobia more than Trump’s policies.

Trump is so xenophobic he married and had children with two foreigners.

Fair enough. Except Trump’s own words and policies do not conflate illegal immigrants with immigrants and foreigners. Yet that’s what the anti-Trump press have taught the white supremacists, that his words and policies are anti-immigrant and xenophobic. It appears that it is the anti-Trump press, not Trump, who bolsters that image for white supremacists.

Perhaps. You would have to talk to them. But one thing's for sure and we probably both agree is that they will never vote for Democratic party.
(Well except perhaps for Tulsi Gabbard as you linked me to an article about that.)

www.lifesitenews.com...

While these latest posters didn’t come from the city, state officials in New York have expressed similar sentiments in the past.

In April, New York Supreme Court Justice David Cohen ruled that bars have the right to throw out customers for supporting Trump. In 2014, the state’s Gov. Andrew Cuomo, an aggressively pro-abortion Democrat, infamously declared that “right-to-life” supporters “have no place in the state of New York.”

Chick-fil-A has also been a recurring target in big left-wing cities for the Christian view of marriage and homosexuality articulated by the fast food chain’s owners. In April, New Yorker columnist Dan Piepenbring called on the Big Apple to boycott the company over its “pervasive Christian traditionalism.”

na, yous don't need a disabled retired person, even if she does come with a social security check..
am trying to talk my kids into finding a way to pack up and find another home though, but that will take time.

by the way, being able to sue the guy after the fact wouldn't help me much since without my glasses, I would be too blind to even safely drive home.
