Meet the truth of 'democratic socialism'. That there will be nothing democratic about it. What IT IS? A single party running the show.

"Democratic socialism, to me, is about democratic control of every single facet of our life," he said. "Government is led by the people, not by big corporations, not by multibillionaires, and working people actually have control over who we elect to be our politicians, over how elections work, and over how our government is structured. People have the power."

Authoritarianism

Total control over how people live.

We've seen this in action already from statues, flags, hats, to political agendas.

Beliefs FORCED on someone else.

Okere has received the endorsement of the Democratic Socialists of America, which backs such progressive leaders as Sen. Bernie Sanders (I., Vt.) and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D., N.Y.).

Total control means, people.

Republicans, and Independents won't exist.

One party rule.

More fear and division from a right wing press source , is fake news limited to MSM ?

In review, the Washington Free Beacon often uses loaded words in their headlines that favor the right such as: Michael Moore’s Ex-Wife Claims He Stiffed Her out of Movie Profits. The Free Beacon usually sources their information properly but occasionally uses Mixed factual sources. When it comes to factual reporting the Washington Free Beacon has a mixed track record.
Overall, we rate the Washington Free Beacon Right Biased based on story selection that favors the right and Mixed for factual reporting due to misleading and false claims.

You like the sound of Government controlling every aspect of our lives, don’t you? Also, that is a quote and what the moron actually said. It isn’t biased if it is a quote.

The "moron" is a candidate not an elected official.

Why don't you actually READ the interview?

Too much work?

You’re one of the youngest candidates running for city council. How did you get involved in activism, and what made you decide to run now?

Social justice was not a part of my life, activism wasn’t a part of my life, until I got to college. I had always cared about politics, but I cared about electoral politics. I saw it as different from activism — rather than how I view activism and electoral politics now, as part of the same apparatus for achieving the liberation of black, brown, and working-class people.

And so I decided [to run],listening to Bernie Sanders’s call for people of color and young people and progressives to run for office at all levels of governments, not just president, Senate, or US representative. I wanted to make a change in my community and fight at the ground level to bring socialism from the bottom up.

If you had bothered to post it in the OP then I would but trudging about in right wing crap looking for more right wing crap isn't my idea of a good time.
Keep posting the right wing garbage , the yocals will lap it up.

So, the American left/right 'debate' is really about what type of entity you want to shaft you?

On the left, government should control everything

and

On the right, big corp should control everything

Pile of crock really.

Both, left and right are controlled by the puppet masters who dictate to government how it all works, what to care about, how to spend tax payers' money, who to bomb, who to hate, who to hate, did I mention, who to hate?

What part of that bothers you? the word Democratic? I don't think he means the Party. But, I am pretty sure there are more than a few people here that would love to see the Democratic party leave and think Republicans should rule the country forever... would you agree with that statement? would you be one of them?

It bothers me because it's a GD lie.

There's nothing democratic about it.

and working people actually have control over who we elect to be our politicians, over how elections work, and over how our government is structured.

WHO they elected.

HOW ELECTIONS work.

HOW government is Structured.

That's a GD one party state, with no checks or balances,

No GD electoral college.

No they GD don't.

I don't give a GD if you don't like rich people or corporations.

They like everyone else have their 14th amendment right. Try reading it sometime.

Someone needs to explain to me.

If billionaires are so bad how do the Buffets,Zuckerbergs, and Soros exist ?

If they actually PRACTICED what they preached.

Ugo is a small fish and nothing to get excited about. He wants to be elected and is playing the card that got Occasional Cortex elected.
He is dreaming of being another Obama [until Obama is indicted] and leading the US to victory with pictures of workers plastered on factory walls for inspiration. His picture will be in every house in a place of honor because he is a deep thinker whose thoughts must be admired and cannot be challenged. There will be a secret police force to make sure all the comrade peasants comply.
