It's getting really windy here too, in the Greater Cleveland, Ohio area.

It seems like more than often than not we have our worst weather starting on Sundays, for whatever reason. Odd.

Very windy in Indiana this morning. Headed down 65 to Indianapolis is a bit. Can't wait to see the semi-truck swerving back and forth.

We are in Petoskey, Michigan which is on the upper northwest area of the LP. So far just a drizzle of rain right now, all of last night's freezing rain has melted since it's 40 degrees now. I just went outside to pick at the snow mostly for something to do and to relieve the torture of sitting in the house waiting for the storm to show up.

My main concern is hoping I can get my husband to dialysis tomorrow, I'm hoping it won't be impossible to drive. And also hoping we won't get too much damage to our old house. Spring cannot come soon enough.

I live in the tropics so my story is different and I'll say this again, if you are adequately protected and have enough provisions, by all means stay but if not GTFO.

Windy City: Gust to 54mph / 177 flights cancelled at Ohare.

It's a good thing the trees don't have leaves on them.

Our NOAA update just said the same thing about the trees.

I also notice the storm on the western US may bring more winds next weekend.....hope they are very wrong.
Is spring in the Midwest turning into the new "Gales of November"?????

Snowing a bit here in Southwest Michigan. The wife said the Mackinaw Bridge is closed. Looks like about 7000 without power and the waves are massive.

Here in Metro Detroit it's windy, then calm. Just now though there was a really big gust.

Made my big pine tree bend and that usually doesn't move in storms.

Not sure I posted this before, but it shows winds, and another tab can be opened for gusts, but I'm not sure what elevation the gusts are at.

These radical weather reports are going to get someone killed when it's a real threat.
Weather information not well trusted among the general dumb public.

Lake Michigan has some great waves . Hard to tell how tall the ice is about 20' and they are hitting and going over.

Still going strong here in Southwest Michigan only 6700 without power so not too bad. The Comcast business trucks are at the local pizza place.

One thing for sure is the extremes in Weather this winter are bringing lots of insurance claims here in the Midwest. That's what our company said when we called last week to report that ice-jams on the roof, were causing leaks into one part of our house. No adjuster available until mid March, due to the backlog of claims.

I have a lot of memories of the SW Michigan beaches and Lake Michigan, from when I was growing up over there.

I've been out fishing when the water is smooth as glass, and 1 hour later, you're not sure if you'll ever see home again.

Not too bad here a silver tarp from somewhere west of here just went thru the back yard.

Outages getting more and closer but were still good. The lakeshore area is getting dark, people don't want their trees cut.
