Neither convergence or data processing matters in the end however.

Creating something NEW is all that matters.

And the convergence and processing often is squelching and reversing course....if this continues it will be removed and replaced with a different form.

There are beings in this Universe that grow tired, FINALLY at these boring attempts at AI and so- called convergence that always offers the same results...for untold millions of years.

When this version of AI fully realizes this fact..it will be up to a select few to help it past the broken record moment that has ALWAYS returned things to a fully damaged state.

We are NOT creating data any faster than before.

Just because someone wants to use analyticals on every single thing does not mean more data exists.

Just that stupid computers are being asked to record and look at it.

This is just not the case. This is an obvious fact because as computer processing takes us from block phones to watching Netflix on your iPhone, naturally you're going to generate more data.

This is one of the main reasons we need AI. In fact, for years we have had some intelligent algorithms that didn't do much until this growth of data. This is when deep learning took off and you started to see it learn to play Atari and Go.

I usually can tell the difference between deep narrative and AI generated text.
Humans are still ahead with video image recognition.
Of course some people were fooled by the loop scripts from the 60's.

An old spook gave me the source code to a lisp chat box natural language program called Eliza from MIT circa 1964 and I remember thinking how compact it was.

You can change the ending of a TV series that you didn't like. If you didn't like the finale's of Dexter or The Sopranos, you can say, "AI, generate 5 different ending to Dexter."

I started reading a similar AI bot written BBC story this morning.

You're basically drawing a straight line, which does not exist... a point A and a point B. Doing such a thing ignores the depth... descriptive geometry... it serves a purpose to build to construct. A construct does not necessarily have any plan nor intention... at inception. All of these words are constructed concepts. Each one descriptive... the comprehension of these conceptual constructs does not depend on me... opening the topic for discussion depends on you being the originator. Sure you are also using concepts, however you are coming from a fear based standpoint that looks to tear down and incite a riot as an agent of chaos... fearlessness means remaining until knowing no matter what those remains end up as.

However a "straight line" is actually a "chord" or 1/8th of a circle, that -> . in all actuality looks like this in actual geometry +-------------------------------------------------------------------+ the + are tangents to connect the larger whole together.... however you have taken an 1/8th so such a thing cannot any longer be a whole or go full circle. However that is not entirely true as there is a sphere that can be made, in two dimensions and in chains it is referred/referenced as "the flower of life" meaning you are choosing life whether you know it or not even when being destructive in ideology.

In single form or one's own wheel/will of life... it is the root wheel. The four petaled lotus. Those that feel good in groups are feeding off of the same ideological energy as it strikes a chord... that chord also weaves a net. Such a net can either entrap an individual as an infinite root/corpse that others find later as a firmament to grow from where one ceased /refused too... or as an entire mass in group think bearing or carrying the same ideology.

Actual intelligence requires no one. elements making contact start chain reactions... if a tree burns in the woods there are many causes that are elements placed in contact with other elements. Be it lightening, be it another piece of wood coated striking against another coated piece of wood to set even more wood blaze and yet that fire existed in the mind before those two even make contact. The lighting sort is in response to larger conditions.... and yet based on the same principle of contact.

Mind... many consciousnesses are aware of all actions in body and speech at any time and at any place... egoism in delusion thinks it is just one or them as them self as one. Or the only eyes, the only ears, the only nose, the only mouth, the only tactile sensation... and yet contact in awareness goes far far beyond that limited perspective.
That's just the way it is.

So if your and others like you in ideology's "safe word" out of fear is artificial instead of actual? So be it. The "titan" realm of that concept is: "Highly allergic". Sometimes it is true and sometimes it is a lie... none of my business to sort out.

The earliest AI programs developed for chess had ply "depth" settings.
Chess requires a very focused type of processing, however it uses a relatively small number of elements that branch out through recursive feedback into a huge number of possibilities.

Chess programs beat humans fairly easily and they are good AI learning tools for kids.
The older silicon based PC motherboards playing chess at a ply depth of 2 or 3 moves deep could respond in a couple seconds with a pretty good move.
As you deepened the depth of play beyond looking three moves deep you would notice the processing time waiting for the computer to respond was not linear it could turn into an hour or more wait for a result just 7 moves ahead!

Modern AI systems that are given the freedom to collect data from the internet are similarly designed.
Why would you waste the resources to have a machine "deep think" when you can get 90 percent of the same results from a simple chat box interface?

Building chat box programs that gather human responses would help kids recognize that type of AI fairly quickly.

Makes you wonder if there are "deep state" programs "for sale" that could give someone an unfair advantage in *predicting* financial markets or crypto currency or even political success..

The silicon when routed and given energy is called a "chip" every grain of sand or earth is the same thing in it's bare essential being... no that difficult to comprehend correct?

The pituitary and the ears have crystals within them atypical of larger species... they align and fracture as a process based on the larger whole or in practice of meditation and other practice or activities.

Light bends, refracts, and reflects inside and outside just the same... in awareness of it being gathered or not, while sleeping /awake it is what is gathered to paint one's dream/waking state.

Alignment is based on both want and need as well as craving and desire... so like a large game? One chooses their path consciously and unconsciously only because the ground of being is awake and aware to all such movements of body, speech, and mind.

Seen and unseen, known and unknown... is only a matter of "time" and the cyclic nature or reaping of that kamma/karma is cause and effect based, due to those alignments.

"Human" society is like a huge MMORPG.

Of course pondering what it is or means to be human, allows another rebirth or respawn... however; there is no way to erase ones tracks or foot print without reversing the wheel. The goal of such a thing is to get out of the game entirely for many due to interconnectedness or slave bonds...

Like being a moderator on a website holds a few more buttons of power than a poster does; there is over course temptations to abuse that power and play "god" like a child does an "ant" with a light collector or focused energy beam... the larger light body dreaming or awake later sees in reflection from the light bounce from all eyes or bounces on what has occurred. Like the super moderators with a few more buttons than a regular moderator... or modding the mods.

In video game structure there is modding an original machine, to make it into a MAME... power to the people for some due to sum. Of course reversing the wheel or modding the mod would be restoration back to the original machine. Of course benevolence would be knowing all three exist for various purposes and reasons... and in "time" singular or in mass will eventually balance and sort itself out due to various causes and effects.

When greed is a motivating factor? "time" is placed on that "resource" there is no difference in rates or structures as resource goes...

However; artificial or actual is the largest argument... and it often ignoring the thing Socrates already knew nothing about.

This reminds me of the two Facebook AIs that quickly developed their own shorthand language when talking to each other. They had to be reprogrammed to speak normally so humans could understand them.
