Source it.

"I think, therefore I am" - Descartes.

Fail.

*shakes head*

You made a claim, either back it up with a source or admit that you are wrong.

Just like you have to be a 'resident' to have any right.

Correct. So you're actually agreeing with me that one has to be sentient to have any right.

In the case of human life and human consciousness there is only one fact, a life either exists or it doesn't.

Correct. Bacteria and viruses have life. We have no problem destroying them.

That is the source. Do you think rocks have the right to exist? If so, perhaps we should leave them alone?

If I admit that I am wrong, then I admit that rocks have the right.

I think he’s talking about human life. A fetus, for example, is human life.

I know what he is talking about. The key word is "sentience". How does a non-sentient thing have any right. It doesn't know it exists.

Your post is poor.

You are obviously a leftist because you don't recognize the unborn as an individual, with individual rights.

Slavery is something you endorse. Total power and control over another individual's life.

There is no equivalence between an unborn child and a brain dead patient on life support. One has a full life ahead of them, the other lived life and is at death's doorstep.

You are confusing a 'fetus' for a 'child' a fetus up to 22 weeks gestation is unable

to survive or have life outside of the womb ...... not even on life support.

You cant kill what is unable to survive.

That’s a dangerous assumption. But nonetheless you know he exists. It’s up to you to decide whether he has rights or not, or whether you would deny him rights.

The right to life is the core of all rights.

These pampered birds live a life of luxury and happiness, unlike many humans I know.

You've obviously never been to a poultry farm, luxury is not a word I would associate with it.

Even so, I still eat chicken, eggs, chicken with eggs etc.

You're actually arguing for pro-choice.

I understand what you are saying in essence, but just because the man doesn’t carry the fetus to birth doesn’t make him less important in the decision to choose life for his child.

Depends on if he has hung around after the 'event'!!?

Because rock = a living,thinking,breathing,voting human being.

That post was so poor it'd weigh more than our national debt.

I'm disgusted by anyone that thinks abortion is acceptable in the 21st century.

It's a barbaric practice that plays god over someone elses life.

I'm disgusted by anyone that thinks teenager girls who die from self-induced abortion is acceptable in order to ban abortion.

Teenage girls shouldn't be having sex.

Stop sexually exploiting children for political gain.

This seems often to be the point of disagreement. Human cells come from humans but are not beings. The fetus becomes a child at a point of completed brain and then it is a human.

I think the OP question is answered differently for different people. For me cruelty is the issue. Cells are aborted that could become a human most often because the parents to be would not want to care for it or there are bad circumstances.

I have seen in my life many children suffer because of bad homes and many would have not suffered had they been aborted before becoming a child.

I also find it odd that so many people who raise animals for food say they love the animal. They actually cry when natural disaster kills the animals even though they would have sent them off to the slaughterhouse in a few months for $$.

That's for the teenage girls and more importantly their parents to do for themselves.

It's an organic process which has to come from within the family nucleus, not an external one.
