have to ask the brits, they can be a curious group so no telling why, I would imagine it was considered an insult considering how unruly we were as colonists.

Last I checked, Trump is president of the US, not the UK. Who gives a flying f**k what the Brit think. And as far as the qualities they hold in esteem, those qualities will make them a Muslim country in thirty years.

Can I ask where you got that remarkable prediction? Because it doesn't fit with any projection I've ever read at any time.

As an Englishman I will say that I do not think trump is good for the US.

I think he is a businessman and not a very good one. He is egotistical and can be irrational.

He is used to getting his own way and manipulating people and he is doing this to the people of the US.

It seems that division is higher than I have seen it between left and right and I think this is at least partly his doing.

I think the US will look back on this as the most embarrassing period in modern history.

I'm aware that the state of the UK is an absolute shambles by the way so this is not a pot calling a kettle black just answering a question.

Since you are not here you don't understand. Trump just said what millions have thought for decades. He has manipulated no one. Millions of Americans especially Gen X and older have known we have had an illegal immigrant and border security issue for decades. Despite promises no politician would would fix it. Do you think Trump came along one day and said lets build a wall and people where like GEEE I never thought we had a problem till Trump said it!!? NO!! Millions have been wanting this fixed long before Trump was on the scene because they have seen the cost to this country

Illegals can come here and get free healthcare and refugees get free college our own children don't get that. They cost us billions a year. Maybe if they could be shipped to you your citizens could pay for them?

Trump hasn't divided anyone Obama played a huge part in that. The identity politics and constant attacks on white men by the left and their urge for socialism is what divides us. Trump just caused them to unmask themselves and show what they really think and want ...

I think your government are the problem not the illegal immigrants, the American government actively spent the best part of 50 years , illegally selling narcotics into the US and selling arms to other rebels to overthrow democratically elected governments all whilst fueling the military industrial complex and private prison systems and Corporations who lobby with government to bend legislation to their will at the expense of the American people , all the while slowly trying to erode your rights as enshrined by the constitution. It's still under assault today

That's Americas problem , Unchecked capitalism turns into corporatism , and Mussolini would be pissing himself with laughter right now if he could see america and what its become , when it fought a world war to stop that from happening , it happened despite all that

but its totally cool to swallow the media and government propaganda , because its apparently legal , the US government legalised the use of propaganda on US citizens.
So everyone just follow the word of the media and government and blame those immigrants when in reality its part politics and corporatism thats destroying the planet

Can we get back to the important issue here? I mean, of course, his ties. Why does he wear them so long like that?

So wrong, so wrong.

Anyone would be better than our PM, except Corbyn.

I think America probably deserves him.

Who cares what they think is the better question?

They have nothing to do with him or this country. They aren't Americans. What they say, do or think is wholly irrelevant.

They will continue being the good little vassal state they are. Preening and fawning over our POTUS' without ever growing a pair to speak out against him. Wish they would though, there is a lot of military/civilian aid that we could cut off there.

The real question is, what on Earth can the UK offer us that should make us want to keep our military and intelligence assets there and working for them? So instead of taking petty/pathetic jabs at our President, they should be working on salvaging what little is left of this beaten and battered relationship.

They never have been very popular among Americans........ something that hasn't changed to this day. At least not with me

You didn't notice the massive demonstrations against him when he visited here, then?

Pretty much sums up US foreign policy, unfortunately.

On a side note, its funny to see how good the programming has been of people... everybody is blaming everything on trump but when you look at what he has done and dig a little deeper you find that the vast majority has only been possible because of congress and rules and laws they passed.

The American people are just as guilty with being programmed, almost everybody is praising, or hating trump and ignoring the true danger to our republic... congress.

stop calling it aid, it is not. any military hardware we buy from you is not aid, do you say the guy at the gun store has provided aid or trade? you only have bases in britain because it is strategically useful to you, i would be happy for you to # off out. we don't need you, most dirty russian money is tied up in london and putin wants us to buy his gas, he ain't invading anytime soon so # off, i am not grateful for any american bases here i would prefer you to piss off.
eta, the only power russia has is more nuclear weapons than us, but if they attacked we would take out moscow with ours and putin knows that, he also knows in a straight fight the royal navy would crush russia's leaky crap navy, don't be so smug my american cousin.

oh, and if putin tried an invasion by dropping paratroops, good luck flying enough in to battle our 80,000 regular army, and 20,000 reserves, RAF would make a field day taking out transport planes lol, we don't need you america, you need our strategic location, I'd be happy for you to piss off
