Macron’s ratings have picked up on the back of ‘Great Debate’ exposure, says Paris Match.
French President Emmanuel Macron and Prime Minister Edouard Philippe continue to recover in popularity polls, both gaining six points in a month, according to the latest Ifop/Fiducial personality rankings for Paris Match and Sud-Radio published Tuesday. Macron ranked 18th most popular among French politicians — alongside his predecessor François Hollande — in the telephone poll of more than 1,000 people conducted on February 8-9, with 36 percent of respondents saying they had "positive opinions" about the head of state.
National Rally President Marine Le Pen lost 3 points, with an overall score of 30 percent.
