Mitch McConnell to Force Green New Deal Vote to ‘Rattle’ Democrats

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) confirmed Tuesday afternoon that he will bring a vote on the Green New Deal, telling to reporters on Capitol Hill: “I’ve noted with great interest the Green New Deal. And we’re going to be voting on that in the Senate. Give everybody an opportunity to go on record and see how they feel about the Green New Deal.” Read Breitbart News’ original report below.

Mitch McConnell just couldn't pass up a chance to force the Dems to go on the record about the "Green New Deal."

Oscario-Cortez is the gift that keeps on giving.

I'm sure all those Democrats and Republicans on the take from the oil and natural gas companies will love it...

Lobbyists are going to go all in against it.

This vote count will be used as part of Trumps 2020 campaign, every Dem thats thrown their hat in the ring for the big chair, and votes affirmative, will get hammered.

Problem, reaction, solution..

How cute, he is hugging her in the picture in the link. I suppose he will now be charged with inappropriate sexual advances because he hugged her.

I can't understand how anyone would even bring a bill like that to Congress. I am definitely in agreement about getting rid of a lot of the unnecessary and cheap air travel and the huge cruise ships. I am not all that enthused with the huge slaughter houses with the huge quantities of cows farting. But what is wrong with cows farting in the pasture? grains make cows fart a lot more than grass does, who cares if they fart out in the fields while running around. Next someone will put a fart tax on pork and beans.

Why do these guys feed her delusion? Sure, we should reduce our reliance on fossil fuels, we should not be flying to Vegas or to Cruise ships and be satisfied with keeping our vacations local. We should concentrate on moving some small businesses back into neighborhoods, neighborhood stores are much better than Walmarts six miles away. I see people going back and forth from town to town, they can't combine trips. There is no hardware store in our local town anymore, so people are constantly traveling twenty miles round trip to get things, sometimes they make the trip three times in a day because they did not get the right part the first time. Or they finished the little project early and their wife tells them to start another project.

Just dump a tax on Air Travel and stop the subsidizing of fuel by government and by business agreements, Jet fuel is kept low and to make up the fuel for our cars and heating is increased via the agreements.

SoOo... Republicans going on record against an insane bill is bad?

All he's doing is making sure that Democrats get on record agreeing with it...

Thus losing them the moderate vote next election cycle.

A leftist pointing out that the other party doesn't care about people at all is hysterical, btw.

Like the Democratic party EVER cared about actual people.

That's fine.

Regardless of political affiliation, no reasonable person would vote in favor of that nonsense. It's a collection of absurdities and socialist pipe dreams.

McConnell is dispicable, but I have to give credit where credit is due. This is a brilliant move and will make Democrats put up or shut up way earlier then they would have wanted.

I have never seen a proposal to spend such an incredible amount of money with zero benefit to the American people.

Put up or shut up on a bill that has no chance of passing and McConnell knows it because the GOP will not vote for it?

Some crazy strategy there...

So that all GOP dont give a # about things and that possibly some DEMs dont agree with the bill. Some dumb move from McConnell if you ask me.

Should be putting his effort to get a budget bill to the floor but no that would be good for the country.

What’s the point of a budget bill? Dems aren’t going to go for the border protection and the President won’t sign it without the wall.

well whenever the Green-New-Deal comes up for the vote....

I am torn between the guess of 20 votes For...or for only 12 Yes Votes from Senators

my head says 'Green' could get 20 Yea's

but my mind says 9-12 votes at the most which would be an Embarrassment for the pro-gressive brand of Democrats

read 'em & weep

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was just interviewed by Fox News.

She said home insurance premiums went up 50% in the past 10 years, because of parents having to drive their kids through wildfires in California. The New Green Deal will address this.

I BELIVE HER!

Cali is scaling back it's hi speed rail project. So how are all these rail lines going to be built. Some magic needs to happen.

(Reuters) - California Governor Gavin Newsom said on Tuesday the state will dramatically scale back a planned $77.3 billion high-speed rail project that has faced cost hikes, delays and management concerns, but will finish a smaller section of the line.

“Let’s be real. The current project, as planned, would cost too much and respectfully take too long.
