We are going to hear a lot more about this kind of thing. It will be all part of a general message that there are too many humans on the planet and that we will have to reduce our population to a more manageable level (no doubt the professed 500,000,000)

I wonder if they will be demonstrating the highest form of leadership there is, personal example, in relation to this matter???

Dumb-Bell Democrat Cory Booker (running for President LOL) says Earth can't sustain too many people eating meat 🤣

Claims he himself is a "vegan".

Food industry has a big environmental impact 🤣

How good will the Democrat 2020 candidates get ?

Says eating eggs doesn't align with his spirit rofLOL

Cory Booker: ‘This Planet Simply Can’t Sustain’ People Eating Meat

Sen. Cory Booker (D., N.J.) said the planet "can't sustain" people eating meat, as the 2020 hopeful aims to become the first vegan president.

Booker told the vegan magazine VegNews earlier this month that he became vegan after coming to the realization that eating eggs "didn't align with my spirit."

While claiming he does not want to lecture Americans on their diets, Booker says Americans need to be nudged into fake cheese because the planet cannot sustain the "environmental impact" of the food industry.

"Booker real batnutzkrazy"

in times like these, we must look to the Lord! God wants us to eat animals. If he didn't, he would not have made them out of meat.

We had a load of preaching at us in the UK around this a few weeks back.

The recommendation was reducing meat consumption to the equivalent of half a fish finger or a third of a rasher of bacon per day. Primarily due to the demand for a more westernised diet in terms of protein globally.

I love a good ribeye, farm next door raises Hereford cattle that drink from the river and eat the grass living a pretty happy life. What’s wrong with that? Seems sustainable to me.

Got to be better than clearing acres of rainforest destroying biodiversity to grow more soy - poisoning the ground with pesticides and insecticides as you go.

Well, there's always the option of having fewer people around stinking up the place. Settle on a nice number of people so we can sustain ourselves while giving the planet plenty of time to recover. All it would take is contraception. But as a whole we're either not smart enough or too worried about the wrath of a supernatural grandpa to figure that out.

, contraception is the answer

Get rid of the vegans and the other pigs will have enough to eat. The problem isn't food it's bad cooks. Abortion till after birth should help slow things down a bit.

This is just something that is frequently claimed to make "Vegetarian/Vegans" look bad by relating them to an evil person.Myth Check Source

So, let’s settle this: Was Hitler a vegetarian? First of all, no. If being a vegetarian means abstaining from meat without fail, then no. Don’t trust me, and don’t trust animal rights brochures. Trust the chef who fed him: “I learned this recipe when I worked as a chef, before World War II, in one of the large hotels in Hamburg, Germany,” writes Dione Lucas in her 1964 classic, Gourmet Cooking School Cookbook. “I do not mean to spoil your appetite for stuffed squab [pigeon], but you might be interested to know that it was a great favorite with Mr. Hitler, who dined at the hotel often.” Lest we think she meant a different Mr. Hitler, she adds, “Let us not hold that against a fine recipe, though.”

Please, spare us the "No True Scotsman" fallacy. By some studies, as many as 90% of vegetarians cheat at least occasionally. Heck, many have dedicated "cheat days" when they allow themselves to eat meat.

Did you know there's a Wikipedia article on Adolf Hitler and vegetarianism ? He stopped eating meat somewhere around 1937-1938. He also didn't smoke or drink alcohol, both of which would have been very uncommon in his day.

Booker is not alone in calling for transformations of major sectors of the U.S. economy. The 2020 Democratic presidential field has already called for the elimination of private health insurance, and to "reshape" capitalism.

Booker, along with every other prominent 2020 liberal candidate, signed on to the Green New Deal, which calls for the "economic transformation" of the United States by transitioning to 100 percent renewable energy in just 10 years. Renewable energy currently accounts for just 17 percent of electricity generation.

Booker's fight against dairy intersects with the aims of the Green New Deal. Initial plans put out by democratic socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez revealed ambitions to eliminate "farting cows."

On the campaign trail Booker endorsed the plan that guarantees every single resident in the country a job with paid vacation, retirement, "adequate housing," and "access to nature," because "our planet is in peril and we need to be bold." He likened the plan to fighting the Nazis in World War II and going to the moon.

These people are effing dangerous.

Full blown retarded.

Oh and under the green new deal rockets would be banned due to the environmental impact.

And by the way.

What were minority rights, womens, rights, gay rights, and LGBT rights during the 40s?

That's right people.

The greatest generation were a bunch of white supremacists, homophobes, and loved to have klanbakes.

The human population will not exceed 11 billion and in 2100 we will hit that maximum or be lower, so that is good news. If we took Japan's agricultural age back in 1960 and applied it cross all land areas able to produce food the earth can sustain 41 billion people. Not too long ago in the past the max population before people started to starve was believe to be 6 billion and we are not starving yet.

This guy is dangerous to society in believing personal view are actually facts and then apply his warped facts to legislation...

Just curious, taking away all the moral discussion, you guys who are claiming this guy is dangerous and/or an idiot, you're all ok with what factory farming is doing the the land we live on?

I know I'm wasting my time with this discussion because just like "Orange man bad", it's "Democrat bad" on the same level. I did a little research on this Booker guy after my fiancee brought him up, I definitely had some warning flags brought up when he was discussing "looking out for each other", but after seeing these factory farms with my own eyes, I can't agree with him more that they're f*cking up our land. If they weren't, Smithfield wouldn't have lost $500,000,000 in lawsuits for doing exactly that, f*cking up the land.

Do some simple math. 1 acre of grass to feed 1 cow. How many cows are out there now grazing? According the bailouts, too many. If not, we wouldn't have to be spending taxpayer money on buying meat from them.

I personally don't care if someone else eats meat. I'm not an activist by any means. My concern is what is happening to our land. Population is rising. They need to get this sh!t under control. You've got people starving all over the country and over 1/3rd of the grain grown is grown for livestock....the livestock the government buys because companies produce more than the demand calls for. That's wasteful spending of our tax dollars, plain and simple.

Of course, I'm sure this post will get ignored like my last one because unless it's a "they're out to get us!" post, no one here really gives a sh!t.

So this the new level of Democrat dialect?

If you aren't willing to support the elimination of meat in your diet via government like Booker proposes, then you must be all in favor of the most heinous of factory farming practices? Why do you hate animals and support animal cruelty, yo?

I'm OK with whatever keeps a steady supply of red meat in my freezer. Presently, that's a combination of hunting and purchasing... if purchasing caters out due to manipulation and pandering to the alarmists, then my hunting activity will increase accordingly.

Try and take my steaks... that might be the straw that breaks this camels back.

Ive tried supplements and it just doesn't have the same effect as sitting down and eating a nice medium rare sirloin, or tbone a good steak can literally turn my day around from meh to energized and more alert.

Yeah, but you're talking about maximums. What would be the best number of people to have on the planet so that everything isn't running on the breaking edge all the time? What number provides us with the best quality of life, not just quantity? Some figure that gives us plenty of elbow room while still allowing people to find productive jobs and get medical care. Because, yes, we can stack people up like they did on slave ships, but that would be less than ideal.

Factory farming?

Like lab grown meat?

Why don't critics spend millions of dollars buying the land and show us how to do it right.

your right but that also goes for producing vegetables/fruits

fact is the food industry is for profit and they will do anything to make a extra buck unless you force them not to but they hold the cards hear force them and they can simply raise prices to the point where people starve

switching to vegan/bugs/any other food source won't change the root of the problem company's do not give a damm about the damage they do only the profit they make
