Dumb-Bell Democrat Cory Booker (running for President LOL) says Earth can't sustain too many people eating meat 🤣

He's absolutely right!

Considering our current and future population, the meat industry is obviously totally unsustainable... us humans can simply not afford to continue eating meat like we do.

It's a no brainer, isn't it?

You would think its a no brainer but look at the posts and memes in this thread...

Team B said something so we must be against it no mater the facts.

Socialist say we shouldn't eat meat.

They still want to.

But I doubt meat will be served in the "camps".

Simple solution, I start eating the socialists. I'd like to say I'm kidding, but I don't do vegan protein and this walking tank requires 250 grams of protein a day to maintain gains from the gym, so...

This is beautiful, simply stunningly beautiful! It's like the Dems' 2020 candidates are all systematically pissing on every traditional value the majority of Americans hold near and dear. Yes, dumbass, run as the candidate who believes the food industry needs strict changes and Americans need to be moved away from meat and animal products, see where that gets you. Only a goddamned vapid fool runs against bacon and eggs in America, 2020.

They're handing the election to the GOP on a silver platter with a garnish of vegan cheeses (now made from hydrolyzed soy proteins, YUM!)

And they're threatening to boycott the only sensible candidate (the Starbucks guy) if he dares to run. I really hate this term, but "full retard" is really the only way to describe it. They've going so far to the left, even mainstream liberals now think they're nuts.

Not sure why you think Starbucks guy is worth a damn.

He already shown he is a globalist insider by saying everything is Trumps fault for the division in our country, and anyone with a brain knows that's a GD lie!

Go tell the Chinese that rice is unsustainable and see what kind of reception you get there.

it is overconsumption, mass-production, and Capitalism

also, sport hunting

Hunter-Gatherers, primitivists, Natives etc all hunted only what they required and didn't waste anything

now you have Markets that would rather throw away food than give it to people, you have mass amounts of overproduction and over consumption

eating meat isn't the inherent problem

They just don't have a clue. It's too bad, in a way. My dad was a lifelong union man and recognized the need to at least try to keep corporate America from poisoning the land for profits and running roughshod over the average Joe, and I think that idea has merit. My dad was a Democrat, and even worked in the caucuses. But these days he'd be just the kind of guy the Democrats would tell to go to hell.

You're wrong. If Team A came out tomorrow, hell... if Team A's leader, Trump came out tomorrow and said the same thing Booker did, I'd ridicule him for it. I can only speak for myself, but this body was designed and operates to it's fullest when fueled up on meat, whey, fish, and a modest selection of low carb veggies. Soy is as detrimental to humans with European ancestry as lactose is to Asians and Africans. You function best eating what your heritage ate through the millennia it was isolated in it's own region of the world and developing. In my case, I can assure you Scandinavians didn't eat a lot of leafy greens, soy, or rice... we ate meat, fish, and dairy.

I've said it before... you talk a big game about the outdoors for someone who is clearly uninformed and totally inexperienced with the great outdoors. Whatever you learned reading that set of World Book Encyclopedias from your brownstone town house in the middle of a concrete jungle, it was no substitute for actually growing up in the middle of the boonies.

I wonder what special accommodations will be made for native peoples in the northern areas who don't have decent growing seasons and have diets comprised almost entirely of animal proteins? What do they think the Inuits, for example, lived on? It wasn't primarily a plant based diet.

True, I lived for a few years in a rundown small house, poor that it would either go days without eating or dumpster dive, the majority of my growing up was on a reservation, but I learned all the "Hunting skills" and Native survival skills , I have been in the wild

Actually, not true. They hunted what they could get without putting themselves in too much danger. Plains peoples would stampede buffalo over a cliff and then collect whatever meat and hides they could use at the moment. I have read that 10,000 buffalo would sometimes die for expediency.
The concept of the noble savage and the spiritual link with nature is an over-reach. The concept was survival at any cost.

Ya ever heard of whey protein powders dude?

I don't think any one's saying we should all be on a total vegan diet and just live on nothing but soy & hemp seeds.

Just pointing out that the meat industry is totally unsustainable in the long run... and probably unethical as well.

Sustainability isn't a problem as long as we're all willing to lose our humanity in the process of "satisfying" the increase in demand. Little is said about the actual methods that slaughterhouses will be using in the future to do so.

The USDA is now accepting public comments on its proposed rule that it euphemistically dubbed the “Modernization of Swine Slaughter Inspection”. As a former undercover investigator who worked inside a pig slaughterhouse operating under the pilot project that was, at the time, called HIMP, I’ve seen firsthand the hazardous and cruel nature of this controversial program and can say with certainty that it’s anything but “modern”.

This expanded program, formally called the New Swine Slaughter Inspection System (NSIS), would allow facilities to increase slaughter speeds, while reducing the number of trained government inspectors on the lines. In other words, the responsibility of food safety oversight is largely shifted into the hands of slaughter plant employees. Combine this with faster speeds on the kill floor and the result is problems that can – and do – go unnoticed.

For nearly six months, I worked undercover inside Quality Pork Processors (QPP), no typical pig slaughterhouse. An exclusive Hormel Foods supplier, QPP kills about 1,300 pigs every hour operating under the high-speed pilot program. That’s more than 21 pigs per minute, making QPP one of the fastest pig-killing facilities in the nation.

QPP has widely been considered a model for the USDA’s nationwide expansion of the pilot program through NSIS, but when no one thought the public or USDA was watching, behind the slaughterhouse’s closed doors, I documented pig carcasses covered in feces and abscesses being processed for human consumption, and workers – under intense pressure to keep up with high line speeds – beating, dragging, and electrically prodding pigs to make them move faster.

NSIS may also allow higher numbers of sick and injured pigs too weak even to stand (known as “downers”) to be slaughtered for food. As documented on my hidden camera, these animals endured particularly horrific abuses as they were forced to the kill floor in a desperate attempt to keep the slaughter lines moving as fast as possible.

At least we have a choice.

And beans and other various pulses.....eaten with whole grains for a more complete protein.

Recently added to the market, is protein powder made from crickets. Or protein flour, I’d have to go googling.

Bugs. Can’t beat em, eat em

Where does whey come from? It is a byproduct of cheese making... and from the OP's article:

Booker says Americans need to be nudged into fake cheese because the planet cannot sustain the "environmental impact" of the food industry.

Sounds to me like that whey is on the chopping block in Corey Bookerland.

Don't quote ethics to me, it's a totally arbitrary concept which is dependent on personal interpretation. I find telling people with sharp eye teeth and a system designed to digest meat that they "shouldn't eat meat" to be unethical. Fix your own GD meal and STFU instead of telling others what they should be eating.
