Hey, guys, I'm new to this site (and topic). Anyway, i saw this on the coast to coast AM site yesturday....
www.coasttocoastam.com... any ideas?

Interesting... The hexagram there looks like the one Aleister Crowley came up with so that it could be drawn unicursally. Couldn't tell you much more than that, I'm just not sure. I have seen that symbol before though, matter of fact it's on Cug's avatar (minus the pyramid).

Not to sound like an idiot but what does that mean?

The unicursal hexagram? If that's what you are asking about, Crowley came up with it so that it could be traced unicursally (in one big line, like without lifting the pen from the paper for example) for use in rituals. I don't really know much about it, but that's one of those subjects I hope to delve into one of these days, I've got alot on my plate at the moment. As far as the planetary attributions, I have no idea as to the meaning behind all that. I'd be willing to bet there are at least one or two here who could tell you more. Maybe. Then again, those may be explanations reserved for initiates, there's no telling. I bet if they can elaborate, they will.

The unicursal hexagram was used before Crowley. In a nutshell the Golden Dawn used it 2 ways. In the the Lesser Ritual of the Hexagram the hexagrams represent the elements like this.

They also used the Uni hexagram with the top point representing the sun, the bottom the moon and the elements with the other 4 points.

In the Greater Ritual of the Hexagram you only use the Earth hexagram with each point representing clockwise from the top point, Saturn, Jupiter, Venus, the Moon, Mercury, and Mars, and the Sun is in the center.

When using the hexagrams you trace them starting at the point of whatever planetary aspect your using. When your using the sun you have to combine all the planets so your tracing the hexagram 6 times. a bit tedious to say the least. With the uni hexagram the sun is the center point so you can start from there.

There is more to it, but you can spend months writing a book on it.
