Do you know what monopolies are?

With your logic landlords should be able to either charge 5000 dollars for a studio or ask for a service in it's place.

With your logic your neighbor can kill you and take your land.

With your logic you should put a 12 ft fence around your house and claim sovereignty for personal space.

Who stops that from happening?

So your OP is literally just a nothing source based on literally nothing?

What's wrong with that list of things they want for people?

You don't want people to have a decent job? Clean air and water? housing?

~sigh~

It has already been linked... here is her New Green Dream FAQ from her own website, dated February 7.

Internet Archive

As for the wish list, people who don't mind working already have a decent job.

Clean air and water? Housing?

Easily accomplished... just move out of places like California and New York.

What we were actually talking about though is the quote (from her website, which has now disappeared from her own FAQ and Dr Crazy says was a lie) is this tidbit...

Economic security to all who are unable or unwilling to work.

Cut and pasted from her website from February 7.

Care to point out to us how that is going to work?

Reminds me of the quote...

Mommy? If socialism doesn't work, then why do some people vote for it?

Darling, because some people don't work either.

And yet landlords are free not to rent to Trump supporters. And restaurants can deny service to Trump supporters.

With your logic your neighbor can kill you and take your land.

Murder is illegal. So is theft.

You do have an issue with private ownership of property, don't you.

That's not the proposition. Read the proposal.

Also, yea it is. You pay taxes, the government should provide at least the assistance to put a roof over peoples head. Otherwise we end up with feudalism.

The government should have nothing to do with providing assistance for your housing.

Technically, the only thing we should be paying taxes for is to maintain a standing army in case of war.

Not a damn thing else.

Same link as Xuechen linked me. And has literally nothing in common with their OP. Again, it's a source based on nothing, and isn't even close to what is on the website provided to me.

The bullet points are clear, the proposals are clear, that AOCs foresighted government wants to aid in those fields. This isn't a handout. You're making it look like one. People still need to work, people still need to pay taxes. No one is getting stuff for free.

I guess you are clearly missing the point that it was from her own website and she changed it, then accused Republicans of making it up.

I typed that as slowly as I could and used the smallest words possible.

Is it sinking in yet?

It really used to be... we called it the American Dream.

Then we got an infestation of Progressive leftists.

It's OK... this will be sorted out economically one way or the other.

Spoiler alert: like any other time socialism has been tried, it will fail.

The only thing now is HOW it will.

Yea, so where's the original document? I asked for it, and it's no where to be found. SHOCKING. So here we are, arguing over nothing, based on a nothing website just saying a bunch of BS.

The people who work? More working people is better for 'free stuff', This isn't anything new, it's been the focus of political giants in the 20th century that people who work, and are given work will make a society better and inevitably make personal lives better. But hey, that's too socialist!

There's dozens of socialist programs set in place in the US that are part of everyday life that make YOUR life easier yet you ignore them.

The original was cached in the online Internet Archive. As was linked prior....if you actually want to see it.

And again, who pays for all this "free stuff"?

But, if those unwilling to work get free stuff, why should anyone else work to pay for them? Why not just quit and get free stuff for life?

What is the incentive to work and pay for others that are not willing to work at all?

Oh FFS!

WE BOTH LINKED IT TO YOU!!!!

Do you not understand what an internet archive is.. the wayback machine?

THAT was HER website February 7.

That IS the original document.

Nevermind... having read your ideals on how the government should control us, I am just going to assume your indoctrination is complete.

~shakes head~
