So in simple layman terms, what is job description for a police officer...

We both know their job is to arrest people for breaking the law, so why would you argue otherwise.

Oh so now you’ve changed your tune??
So they arrest people ‘for breaking the law’ now?

That’s ONE of their jobs. And I definitely didn’t argue that but hey, all liberals lie so why expect different from you?

One of their jobs is NOT to arrest people for ‘any thing they can make stick’. Which is what you literally said was their ‘job’.

Funny that. Your intellect is outstanding

If you are merely "arrested", as they were, is that always in your life record?

Technically they were not arrested....they were detained for questioning.

According to: deadline.com...

The two men were "arrested", but not "charged". I think this still goes on their record. They should sue Smollett for whatever they can get out of his shrinking assets.

Maybe just ‘upholding the law’ would be a simple layman’s term for the job. But the job of a policeman is much broader than that and the branches of the police force are many, and varied.

But I guess they all ‘uphold the law’

Unlike the description of ‘to arrest people for any thing they can make stick’. Which is most definitely NOT their job.

Actually you'd be wrong they get promoted by arresting people. It's not really very complicated.

Yeah ok. They get promoted by arresting people. Good one.

Maybe that’s why they “arrest people for anything they can make stick”.

Jesse Smollett broke the law. You know with one hundred percent certainty that he has made a false statement and a false accusation.
His story is laughable at best, I know I certainly laughed when I heard it.

He’ll be arrested.

Maybe the cop will be promoted.

. No chances of promotion for the police clerks and the storemen then? How about the armourers and the dog handlers?

It’s not really very complicated. Or maybe it is.

OK let's pretend promotions are based on the least amount of arrests a cop makes, you know just for giggles

Ha ha haaaa

You’re saying that SWAT members can not be promoted, they arrest NOBODY

Maybe ‘number of arrests’ is NOT the benchmark

But hey, stay stupid. It’s easier that way

“Police clerks and armorers can not be promoted”, good one.

I swear this libtardation is getting worse

“Police are promoted based on number of arrests”
“The Police hierarchy is based on number of arrests, the highest number of arrests is the commissioner”

What a moron
