To me Wookiep, age is a two sided thing. One, there is the gained wisdom and experience you point out. In ages past, it was the elders who ruled the
tribes, the elders who had the experience to pass on down to the younger generations. From my point of view these are foundations of human
However to my sight, things have changed. And not just changed but changing rapidly. The advent of modern technology and future technology is
separating the generations like never before in history. Older generations have for the most part become out of touch with much of the tech that is
enveloping us now. I know that I have.
To me, the elders of both parties would serve the people best if they would step aside and allow the younger folk take the reigns of leadership. In
doing that they could be the advisers, the councilors giving that guidance we all know that needed to insure transitioning to the next generation.
What we are seeing here though is not that handing over of power but rather that the young must defeat the elders in order to use their own
generational experiences which are more in tune with the rapidly changing environment be it technological or biological or informational or what ever.
I was greatly dissapointed by Pelosi and those around her when she powered her way back to the speakerhood.
And your mention of Ron Paul. I voted for him several times yet now we see that he has stepped aside. A good man. On the other side of the asle was
Dennis Kucinich, another old man who stepped aside, another good man.
Self established term limits. Good men, both.
