Considering this is a xuenchen thread I'm going to go ahead and assume that Abrams actually said nothing of the sort.

So who's actually read the essay as opposed to the single line (which by the way doesn't mention anything about a revolution against whites) quoted in the OP?

Abrams is saying that marginalized groups should unite in order to protect themselves.

Carlson interpreted that to mean minorities "revolting" against white people. In his mind, white people are the most powerful group in the country, so when marginalized groups unite to "fight the power" as it were, they're going to fight white people.

Fake news, Abrams said nothing of the sort. He's sensationalizing a nothingburger to drum up ratings and mobilize the right.

Maxine Waters said as much. Why wouldn't Abrams look to her as a role model?

I've ben reading threads about dems wanting civil war on here for years now. LOL

it's funny.

and, desperate as ususal.

Yes it does appear the Dems are desperate as usual. Now they are willing to go on the airwaves and say exactly the thing those supposed RWNJ were telling us was happening all along . Isn't it funny how you are an apologist for the civil war people? All the while trying to portray people just to the right of you as nutjobs. But it would be silly of me to miss that.

Stacy Abrams is promoting the identity politics of the last decade. We are seeing new identities evolve such as Islamic and new oppressors as the woman's movement has displayed an antisemitic faction recently. Even AOC came close to being branded antisemitic due to past affiliations. Of course these people have always existed but are now coming to the forefront as their numbers increase. Also trans vs terfs.

2020 and beyond could pose a whole new landscape for identity politics.

Welp, racists are free to be racists! She'd fit right in, in Virginia!

It used to be the slogan "Virginia is for Lovers".

It really sounds like what you are saying is the same old Republican adage, "I don't care what you think or want. It's my way or the highway for you!"

Yeah, that is exactly what I'm saying... which doesn't sound nearly as nefarious when you consider I'm saying it within the confines of the US Constitution, freedom, liberty, and the belief that this nation should be 100% merit based.

Pay very close attention to the part at the end where it talks about white people being experts on race:

Hey?

What do you call a white immigrant from Africa?

African-American!!!!!!!!

Socialism is great if you're in the ruling class and can maintain your obesity, opulence, and hubris while the pleebs fight over the crumbs your own idiocy has left them with...

Stacy A is the personification of gluttony.

A lot of cookie jars Were Made In Her Image. Elizabeth Warren bought one.

Warren calls it her "wampum jar."

To keep away evil spirits? I don't think there's single 2020 Dim candidate (so far) that Americans would trust to run this country.

Unless you've walked in a black man's shoes you really have no idea what it means to be black living in America. I'm sorry, you just don't.

Same can be said for anyone criticizing Christian White males, yes? Unless someone has walked a mile in a working class, Christian white male's shoes, they don't know jack snip about what our lives are like. All the "white privilege" nonsense is just that, nonsense from mouths that have no idea WTF they're even talking about. Life is hard, it's harder when you're looking to everyone else to fund your life, excuse your failures, and rescue your ass at every turn... unless you can trick enough imbeciles into actually doing those things for purely in exchange for your votes at the polls.

...and yet, I only see you in threads that are critical of anything on the left side of the equation, running deflection and yes, defending the leftists.

I have even heavily critiqued american antifa as being nothing but Liberals appropriating "Radical" aesthetics

I honestly believe you just looked in a mirror and described what you saw there.

Maybe it's best we do not categorize people's identity as being "left" or "right" and just stick to the issues. Hopefully, we can agree nobody's opinion is "wrong", "a lie", or "absolutely true". Maybe we can just appreciate everyone's opinion as being respected even if it is different than our own. Maybe then we will find the unity Stacey was trying to get at but not so eloquently expressed.

If opinions were all that were at stake, then sure... but that is not the case, is it? We're talking about differences which directly impact people's money, livlihoods, lives, freedom, rights, etc...

It's a matter of perspective I guess as to which opinions matter and which ones do not. Every public policy that gets passed will have winners and losers. Take the 13th Amendment for example. It really sounds like what you are saying is the same old Republican adage, "I don't care what you think or want. It's my way or the highway for you!"

My adage is it's my way for me and your way for you.

Live and let live unless of course you are a Democrat that hates white people.

please, look at my history here, at what point have I ever DEFENDED any political party?

you literally create your own narratives and "Fake-news" based on Zero evidence, just the same reactionary fear-mongering

again, check, I have NEVER and will NEVER defend democratic, Liberals, Republicans, Right, Left, Far-right, Far-left, leftists, socialists, communists, DemSOcs etc

I have even heavily critiqued american antifa as being nothing but Liberals appropriating "Radical" aesthetics

to me, they are ALL an enemy

Well, I will defend Burdman and say that IMO the whole time I have been on you have flip flopped. Like there are two people inside of you. Sometimes you were pro something only to be the opposite on it later or at least it left that impression. I have starred both of you but probably not on the same thread from what I recall. You BOTH have good moments IMO but not all of them are. The same surely can be said for most of us.

The spirit of your idea is awesome. So how do we delineate the differences then? How about "More Gov control of your everyday life" side and the "Less Gov control" side. (Left and Right is less wordy than that.)

Truly, left means MORE intrusive in your lives gov the right means LESS gov. But I ask, do you want MORE or LESS of people in government offices ordering you around?

(Lets use that More or Less gov as the "sides" if left and right isn't good enough).

I used to think i was a liberal and maybe I am in the true sense but by modern day standards, I am a conservative. I want less gov so I am more toward an anarchist as opposed to a communist. Anarchy surely will not work either so we need a balance is my take. "Balance, grasshopper!"

Oh , wait , fits right in , doesn't she ?

She lost; therefore, she's a victim. That makes her the biggest winner in the democrat party playbook.

For an anarchist, you sure do LOVE you some Democratic party and bend over backwards defending them. I see now why so many Democrats were silent on the actions of anarchist terrorist gangs like ANTIFA and Weather Underground over the years. Same horsesnip... different suits.

lol

What else Antifa going to do for allies than lie to Democrats for more bodies on the field?

I just find it ridiculously funny that some anarchists stridently support the party which represents vastly more government control, larger government, more regulations, less freedom...

...all while still being the same kind of stooge minions as the GOP to the same kinds of (all too often diabolical) corporate interests.

Both teams are just the opposite side of the same coin that keeps turning up like a bad penny.

Her essay is excellent. I hope you treat yourself to reading it and deciding for yourself.

Carlson is just jealous he can’t command language as well as her.

Fact: There has been and continues to be systemic discrimination against the communities that Abrams points out.

But the question is, should there be justice metted out on behalf of Americans who have been terrorized by the state based on characteristics of a group? LGBT Americans were deprived of their inalienable right to marry until recently.

No right was granted by the court. It was always there; the court merely recognized it. But the state disenfranchised LGBT people and deprived them the ability to exercise their right to marry.

We demand justice.

lmao, anyone who begged the STATE to be married is an idiot to begin with.

We didn’t beg. We took on the establishment and prevailed.

Marriage is not an unalienable right. If it was, everyone would be married, and yet there a lot of unmarried folks walking around out there, and some of them even want very badly to be married.

Get a clue. You do not a right to something that requires another person. You only have rights to things that can be intrinsic to yourself or self provided - person, property, self-defense, life, liberty, etc. All of those you can have or provide to yourself. Marriage is a social construct that requires the agreement of at least one and more often two or more others in order for you to enjoy it.

Stacy's first order of business is confiscating all the twinkie factories.
