What planet is this socialist communist brain dead idiot from ? Here are just a few of her right out of the agenda 21/30 play book green deal proposals :
Full title is: Here Are The Most Shocking Proposals From Ocasio-Cortez' "Green New Deal"

Rebuild every single building in the U.S.

“Upgrade or replace every building in US for state-of-the-art energy efficiency.”

Will end all traditional forms of energy in the next ten years.

The Green New Deal is “a 10-year plan to mobilize every aspect of American society at a scale not seen since World War 2 to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions.”

Plans to ban nuclear energy within 10 years if possible.

“It’s unclear if we will be able to decommission every nuclear plant within 10 years, but the plan is to transition off of nuclear and all fossil fuels as soon as possible.”

Build trains across oceans and end all air travel!

“Build out highspeed rail at a scale where air travel stops becoming necessary”.

Don’t invest in new technology of Carbon Capture and Storage, just plant trees instead!

" Rebuild every single building in the U.S." does that mean just do a remodel or destroy every building because they are not Eco friendly enough ?

"Will end all traditional forms of energy in the next ten years to include Plans to ban nuclear energy within 10 years if possible." I will not be surprised if this young airhead meets an untimely death.

"Build trains across oceans and end all air travel!" Anyone had to ride a train lately ? This girl needs a brain transplant or needs to change the dope she is using for no one can be this stupid without a lot of encouragement by those who want to destroy everything we have built over the last couple of hundred years. I would rather see supersonic air travel and cut the times down from 21 hours to just a couple hours from the USA to Asia. Hope her trains have sleeping quarters and nice nice private showers ... coed showers ? Might as well as they already want the same thing for bathrooms...

There are other things she is proposing so view at the linked article if interested. It is one thing to let a fool kiss you but it is totally a different thing to be fooled by a kiss from a pretty face. With all the geriatric in government we are made to watch anyone would look good when compared the mad hare (hare as in rabbit) Pelosi

I suppose she is living up to her name sake...Cortez was a destroyer if history is to be believed..

tried to read this list earlier, but I only got as far as " Rebuild every single building in the U.S." This is within 10 years. Just allow the magnitude to sink in for a second. This itself so unrealistic, I don't even understand how this has been released? Like listening to a wish list of a five years old...

While the resolution itself would do very little because it is non-binding, it is the first time the policy proposal has been formally outlined in Congress.

The resolution says “a new national social, industrial and economic mobilization on a scale not seen since World War II and the New Deal” is an opportunity to tackle systemic injustices toward minority groups, create millions of high-wage jobs and “provide unprecedented levels of prosperity and economic security for all people of the United States.”

im sure you will all keep crying and circle jerking though

Cortez used to be funny... but as usual, the DNC don't get humor. Now she's just pitiful.

The only saving grace in all of this is that this is nothing more than a resolution, not an actual bill to become law... so far. All the resolution will do is try to implant the idea in the legal system without force of law and gauge public opinion. Sure, some of these high ideals would be wonderful if possible, but they're simply not possible.

It is nowhere near conceivable to replace or upgrade every building in the US to these new energy standards. It took 236 years to get where we are, and we're supposed to now rework everything in 10? Even if we had the money, we don't have the man-hours... and no, illegal immigrants won't help. We need skilled labor for this kind of project, not unskilled labor. Ironically, the same party that Cortez is convincing to pass this resolution is the one that has for the past few decades tried to get every single American to go to college instead of learning trades.

Oh, and every Historical Society in the US should be screaming their heads off at this. There will be no historical areas left, by definition, if this were to go through.

Phase out nuke power? Nope. My power is supplied from a nuke plant, and I like having electric lights. We have nothing renewable as of yet that can handle the power requirements of the nation, and one is not going to magically jump into being overnight. The tornadoes of 2011 showed exactly how life would be without power, and it wasn't pretty.

It is not practical to get a train to traverse the oceans. Simply not practical. The amount of steel required to make the spans necessary and sink pylons as needed for support is astronomical, and it's going to be hard to alloy the steel using solar power. Not to mention the dangers... rogue waves, storms, tsunamis... we'd be better off going back to ocean liners, and those use a LOT of fossil fuels! And don't forget the damage that would be done to the oceanic ecology by erecting these behemoth railways... heck, we can't even get to some of the deeper areas of the oceans without using highly restrictive subs, and even those tend to break very easily at those pressures.

I agree with planting new trees, but we're doing that already. At least, we're doing it everywhere except California. California doesn't know how to grow trees; they prefer to create infernos by mismanaging the trees and then blame someone else for their own doing.

Her plan would bankrupt the government within a couple of months, and force us all back to burning wood and coal for heat just to survive. It's not the way forward to the Jetsons; it's the way backwards to the Flintstones.

The longest journey begins with the first step. This first step is naming an agenda. The second step is getting people on board.. Unfortunately there are those who can not see past "we gonna save mother earth" B.S. and are willing to do anything that sounds good without thinking about the repercussions. Name one of her green deal proposals that could actually be done without destroying and unemploying millions of working people.. and that does not even take into account destroying the economy...

I suppose we could all fly China airlines if her deal ever comes true.. Nope she will push to ban any aircraft from landing in the USA... Next we must ban those "to loud" military aircraft and turn them all into flower pots for trees to save the world !! Dream On !

“Upgrade or replace every building in US for state-of-the-art energy efficiency.

This fits right in with her globalist masters wet dream of agenda 21 housing.
I can see them tearing down all the 'rural' housing, you know those inbred flyovers that like to cling to things, to 'save' the planet.
Then forcing us all into their designed, monitored, mega urban utopia. For our own good of course, because we are to stupid to know whats best for ourselves.
They say it will be like this,

But in reality it will be more like this,

And what about those of us who won't let them tear down our 'gaia' killer house and move along peacefully?

F# the globalists and there lie of a "green deal".

im not worried about that happening

its just not possible

im sure the right sees that as well but that wont stop the propaganda and fear

its just not possible

Not possible?

Do you not realize we've only had reliable electric power for less than 60 years? There are still areas that don't have electric power. And you don't think it's possible for the lights to go out?

Our forefathers survived without power... somewhat. Infant mortality was high and simple things like the flu were a major cause of death. We're only here because enough of them were tough enough to survive until they could reproduce.

Wow... I never realized anyone actually believed that power was a force of nature that we couldn't stop.

I'm sure all the historic houses and buildings will go right along with this. The endowment for many of the buildings alone is probably enough to keep this in court until the end of the century if it were even contemplated. I'm sure the people with the 10,000+ sq ft houses will be real keen on this idea too. I mean it makes a lot of sense to destroy a house of that size to save 10% on energy a year, especially when the house is only used 2-4 months of the year (people who can afford these houses often don't live there year round). I wonder what the energy cost would be to tear it down and then to rebuild it?

it's becoming more and more obvious she is dumber than a box of rocks. one has to even begin to question if even SHE believes these things possible. if she does, she might qualify for a nice padded room somewhere where they can take care of such delusional people.

seriously "trains across the oceans"? that is just utterly insane. they have had more than enough problems just trying to build bridges over a few miles to connect islands to the mainland such as PEI in Canada. and don't even bother thinking of the fact that it would be almost impossible to build such a structure safe from things like rouge waves and storms like typhoons/hurricanes, not to mention icebergs. but there are many places in the oceans where the depth is measured in MILES. heck there are still areas where we can't even safely take a sub due to the pressures. so just how would they build all the millions of pylons needed to support such bridges. i'm not even sure that if we took every single piece of metal on the planet for the construction that there would be enough to build one such bridge, forget multiple bridges crossing two oceans.

and she obviously knows nothing about trains, including history. even the normal slow trains used today are far less economical than air travel. in terms of travel time, energy required and especially in regards to cost. forget high speed trains that she is talking about which use even more energy and are much more expensive, especially when you remember unlike the "slow trains" we have can and do run on existing rail lines. where a high speed train system would require completely new rail lines to be purposely built for them making the cost extreme to build, which would also drive up the cost of travel that much more. and aircraft would still be faster, not to mention would be much cheaper, use less energy, and use far less materials and infrastructure. not to mention of course that high speed rail has been tried in the US, as well as Canada several times in the past. and every single time it has FAILED. and two of the biggest reasons for their failures has been both the expensive cost to use it, flying is cheaper. as well as the time even high speed trains take, where flying is still faster. and in the end her trains would likely create far more polution and green house gases to power. AND an insane ammout of polution and greenhouse gases created in just the manufacture of all the rail that would be needed, and all the polution and greenhouse gases produced just to build the compleate new rail systems. (i thought she wanted to cut down on things like polution and greenhouse gases? not increase them).

she wants to rebuild, possibly even tear down and rebuild every building in the US from scratch, within ten years? we can barely even rebuild SMALL areas of the country after hurricanes in ten years, forget about the entire country. especially when her other insane construction plans like the highspeed rail lines and railroad bridges across the oceans would not just take longer than ten years to build, but who would actually be building all these train lines, buildings and bridges across the oceans? it takes skilled workers to build these types of things. and even if we took say the five or so years it would take to train everyone capable of doing such work, there still would not be enough to do so. where would all the materials come from to completely rebuild every building as well as build these high speed rail lines, bridges across oceans, and we can't forget all the green power plants and infrastructure to use that so called green energy[i]?

the honest answer is that not even taking into account where the money and materials for all these grand plans of hers would come from. the fact is we couldn't even do one piece of her insane plan in ten years, forget about doing everything. fact is, if she actually does believe we could do this, she is seriously delusional and should probably be under a doctor's care.

What I meant was the bs proposals are not possible so im not worried about it.

No internal combustion in 10 years?
No planes in 10 years?

Yeah not possible

It has no legal weight.

That's what I was talking about

Thank you! I was literally becoming concerned for your mental health....

I remember a time back many years ago when a similar resolution against tobacco use was met with the exact same response: "Oh, that's not possible! They can't outlaw smoking!" I remember some years later after the outlawing of smoking was well under way... I made a statement to someone that "One day tobacco will be illegal and marijuana will be legal." They laughed me to scorn.

Never underestimate the foolhardiness of the government when their mind is set on something.
