For all of you who mock and belittle AOC, I'd suggest you do some research and take a look at who's actually pulling the levers from behind the curtain for the "Justice Democrats" that AOC is a part of.

One reason to do so is because AOC's "Green New Deal" (GND) is rapidly becoming a litmus test for Democrat POTUS candidates for 2020.
www.vox.com...

Behind the scenes, Ocasio-Cortez and her allies have been mobilizing a campaign to get House Democrats and 2020 presidential candidates to sign onto it — not just in vague platitudes of support, but throwing their weight behind the specifics of the deal. “Once this resolution is announced, there will be a really clear litmus test for what they support,” said Stephen O’Hanlon, spokesman for climate activist group Sunrise Movement. But there’s something larger at work here. The Green New Deal is fundamentally about making climate change a central Democratic priority in 2020 — without shoving aside health care and the economy. After years of this globally important issue languishing on the national agenda, it has come roaring back.

But understand..........this is more than just about the Climate!

The document reads a bit like a progressive manifesto: In addition to calling for the United States to generate 100 percent of its power demand through renewable sources like wind and solar by the year 2030, it also calls for progressive programs like Medicare for all, a jobs guarantee program, and a universal basic income. And though the actual resolution is expected to focus more on energy and environmental issues, the basic structure will likely be similar.

Is the campaign working?

the Green New Deal has been endorsed by declared or potential candidates including Kamala Harris, Bernie Sanders, Kirsten Gillibrand, Mike Bloomberg, and Cory Booker, exactly what that means is fuzzy. Staff for 2020 contender Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) told Axios she supports the “idea” of a Green New Deal.

The question is..........who's behind AOC? The first thing to know is that AOC identifies as a "Justice Democrat"; to understand that is to know what they are interested in as voiced by Waleed Shahid, the spokesman for the Justice Democrats.

“The major thing here is to define it before other people get to define it for her,” said Waleed Shahid, spokesman for the Justice Democrats. “As multiple 2020 candidates say they support the Green New Deal, our movement is going to be defining it to ensure that what these candidates are calling for is a World War II-style mobilization of our economy.”

Yep, Waleed Shahid!
nowthisnews.com...

Waleed Shahid explained what Democrats need to be doing after the midterms. The Justice Democrats communications director stated. “If the past two years have taught us anything, it's that the Republican Party in Congress today is a toxic mix of white nationalism and corporate greed.”

You can find more flavor for how this guy thinks at: twitter.com...

One question 2020 Democratic contenders should be asked about Medicare For All is: Is it morally just for private insurance corporations to make huge profits by being the main provider for the sick or should health care be a public good and off the market like in other nations?

Who was AOC's campaign manager and now chief of staff?
www.thebeatdc.com...

Congresswoman-elect Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s (D-NY) has named Saikat Chakrabarti as her Chief of Staff. The Harvard College graduate served as Ocasio-Cortez's Campaign Chair and Campaign Manager. Before joining Ocasio-Cortez’s campaign, Chakrabarti served as Co-Founder and Executive Director of Justice Democrats -- a PAC that doesn’t accept corporate donations.

Chakrabarti is a former Silicon Valley pro; he was a developer and co-founder of Mockingbird, an online tool for wireframing websites and web applications, and worked at technology firm Stripe, an online payment service. His hire comes as news surfaced that Ocasio-Cortez is aiming to secure a seat on the powerful Energy and Commerce Committee.

Apparently Chakrabarti is a force with which to be reckoned.
www.politico.com...

“When you shoot for big stuff, you stay true to the movement, you fight unapologetically on the inside, that is a very, very powerful way to pass the radical solutions that are necessary to face the radical problems that you have,” he said.

“Another thing to really do over the next two years is to basically show the American people what will be possible if the Democrats win the House, the Senate and the presidency in 2020, and that means putting our best foot forward,” Chakrabarti said. “It means putting the most ambitious, the boldest, the biggest things we can, and then just build a movement around that.” That approach doesn’t surprise Alexandra Rojas, executive director of Justice Democrats, the successor to Brand New Congress. She first met Chakrabarti on the Sanders campaign, where they regularly pulled 15-hour days.

An interesting assemblage of people indeed.

Well, if math was a skill of yours you would probably have described it better... the Republic is being attacked with a promise of economic destruction.

Being brought to you by politicians who want nothing but more personal power.

Being put into office by people who are stupid enough to think that "free to them" means free... and short-sighted enough to not understand the suicidal result of what they are being promised.

I really hope that you realize that's photoshopped.

Aside from the obviously fake background, what's wrong with that photo? Do you just not like it because it's a photo of several non-white women that are in our government?

Energy that is prohibitively expensive without government taxing the hell out of more efficient and cost effective alternatives. Also, rationed healthcare where I have to get in a government queue and wait for weeks to see a doctor. Not to mention I am expected to pay for other people’s healthcare instead of just being responsible for my own.

Just say no to Communism.

It does define that people that don’t follow it are traitors.

Well, turning to racism is typical.

A fake background means exactly what when Cortez already stated "facts are not important" I paraphrase a quote I care little to search.

Can't have it two ways.

And...of course undermining the U.S. has been a ploy since old cold war days to use the U.S. system against itself. Still is....

Not exactly sure what news you think you're breaking here. Yes, we are aware. That is why we specifically mock and belittle it. What was the far left has been at this agenda for a long while. And now they are attempting to mobilize under the cover of 'Trumpness'. You see, like Trump, these people are self-invovled narcissistic opportunists.

The greatest power Trump wields is the uncanny ability to coax his opposition into behaving in an even more erratic and insane manner than himself. To the DNC and Hillary's credit, they understood that ability which is why they made him their pied piper candidate in the 2016 primaries to unsettle the GOP - but they also grossly underestimated how badly it would blow back on them.

Trump and the GOP know their game as well. Why do you think Trump made a specific point to say "socialism will never come to the United States" in the State of the Union address? That is what he is running on in 2020. Well, that and the economy. These dum-dums are playing right into his palms. Their only hope at this point is that they've managed to give enough citizens severe brain damage to actually buy the load of horseapples they are selling.

I'm just going to start referring to these new democrats as 'fish' since they can't seem to tell when the pretty lure spinning in they faces and the free food floating in the sea comes with a hook.

Also, Vox is essentially Infowars for marxists. You're doing yourself a disservice if you're reading that bile.

It is nothing new for Globalists and Communists to use the global warming farce as an excuse to take over and destroy the U.S. economy. This is just more of the same BS,

Not true.

I want the right to self-determination not letting government control more aspects of my life. I don’t look down on rich people I admire them and try to emulate their financial strategies. I want to be a rich person not tear them down.

What you think passes for “caring about people” is control and manipulation to me. Give people the freedom to make their own mistakes and make their own choices. Taking care of people is immoral because they lose their ability to self-determine their destiny and to reap the rewards of their own success.

They will have to supply a universal basic income just to pay for the utility bills.. Just ask an Australian I kid you not.

Suppose the grand solar minimum people are correct about a new little ice age... No solar power and the wind farms do nothing but have their blades accumulate ice then get out of balance and self destruct or throw/shed huge sheets of ice that can destroy anything they hit if there is a decent wind.

I hope the Democrats run on this green platform and push with all their might... It Will just insure another loss for them or if not then The Americans who vote for these people will finally get what they deserve. Everyone else will just be along for the ride to the destruction of the Republic.
